"Hello?" "Yeah. I need you now. "

I call Josh after an hour of crying and cursing and then crying again.

"Hello?" Josh says in his usual cheery voice.

"Yeah, Josh. Can you come over? I really need you." I say softly.

"Okay. Do you want me to bring the Spongebob movie and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream over, too?"

"Yes please." I mumble.

"I'll be there in 15 minutes."

"Okay."

"Bye."

"Bye." I hang up.

In exactly 15 minutes, I hear stones pounding against ny window.

Seriously, he's paying if my window breaks.

I open my window and a stone hits my cheek.

"Oops!" He blushes. I rub my cheek.

He grabs the trash can from the curb and jumps on it. Thank goodness he's tall enough all he needs is the garbage can. I pull him in and grab the ice cream and movie. I close the window.

He doesn't need to do this, but he says it's 'romantic'

But I think he was drunk when he said that.

You can get drunk from Ginger Ale.

I think. That's why it says 'Ale.'

Right?

Because he doesn't like me, not like that.

Right?

He stumbles to his feet and hugs me, his strong arms around my upper body. "Hey." He grins sheepishly. "Sorry about your cat." He looks at me.

I sigh. What do I say?

"I'll get the spoons." I go downstairs. I see my mother reading from the cookbook. She rarely has time to cook.

I quietly walk on my tip toes. I make my way through the kitchen when I hear a scream, which makes me scream in fear.

My mother looks at me, her eyebrow raised.
Damn.

"What are you doin'?" She puts the book down.

"Uhm, getting spoons," I say softly.

"For what?" She asks.

"Ice cream."

"I never gave you ice cream!" She looks confused. "How did you get ice cream?"

"Josh..."

"Josh? When did he get here?" Now she looked mad.

"Two minutes ago." I open the drawer.

"How did he get in?" She asks.

"My window." I grab spoons.

"Ugh, okay. But stop sneaking things in this house, you got it young lady?!" She snaps.

"Yeah mom. I got it." I close the drawer and go upstairs.

I walk in my room and Josh was sitting on my bed.

"Finally! What happened down there?" He opens the large ice cream tub.

"Nothing. Just my mother being ... herself." I sit next to him and the movie starts. I hand him a spoon.

I was getting cold, but I didn't say anything because I hate interrupting movies.

I know, I'm weird.

Josh looks at me and sees my goosebumps. He grabs my plush Batman blanket and wraps it around my shoulders, rubbing my arms before just leaving his arm around my shoulder.

I sit there awkwardly, the spoon in my mouth.

Oh Gosh.

I keep my eyes focused on the screen and my heart is pumping out blood and sending it to my cheeks, causing them to display a deep red.

In other words, I blush.

When the movie ends, Josh looks at me.

"That movie never gets old, right?"

"Right." I say softly.

He still hasn't moved his arm.

He looks out the window and sighs. "I should get going." He says, somewhat reluctantly, like he can feel my awkwardness.

"Okay." I sigh.

He gets up and removes his arm. He kisses my cheek and opens the window and I sit there, spoon in my mouth, my eyes wide like Midnight's.

"Bye Chloe." He says before leaving and going to his car.

I close my window and watch him get in his car and drive away.

"Bye Josh," I say softly.

(A\N.  So I got a little romance action between Chloe and Josh. I thought it'd make things intresting.
