Chapter 1

Location: Bank on 12th and Broadway

0:22 hours

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I see the flashing lights outside as I round-house kick the man to the floor. I grab the arm of another behind me and twist it. Turning around, my fist flies into his face before scraping the tip of an arrow on his arm. He falls as I do the same to his companion. Standing up, I wipe off the rest of the liquid knock out from the arrow. The doors to the bank burst open and the hostages are helped out of the building.

The officers will find all ten robbers knocked out. And assumptions on who stoped the robbery. There will surely be stories of it up by 3. I sigh and move away from the skylight.

"Man, that was workout." I look over to see Spiderboy laughing.

"Do you ever take anything seriously?" I walk toward the edge of the bank, facing Stark tower.

"Come on, Curse. You know you had fun too." He says, bumping my shoulder. I roll my eyes.

"Lets just get back. I've got work to do in the morning." I take off. It only takes a minute before he's caught up with me.

"What's bugging you? Is it the fact that Thor hasn't been seen since the war? Or is it something about SHIELD?" I sigh.

"SHIELD. Somethings going on. I'm thinking about going in tomorrow and talking to Fury." I land on the roof of Stark towers as SB swings up to join me.

"Cool. I'll come with. I'm sure Fury will love to see me again." I swear, its in his description as a hero to aggravate me.

"Not a chance, SB. And besides, don't you have school?" I smirk as he huffs at me.

"Yes. Don't remind me. I better go if I don't want to get detention again. See you tomorrow night, Curse." He waves and jumps off the building. I stare at the skyline for a moment before turning around and heading inside.

  -------------------------------------

"Did you have fun?"

"Why do you always ask me that, Tony?" I ask, shutting off the lights to the bar.

"Because I feel like it." He smirks. "So, did you?"

"Yes, because fighting villains is so much fun." I reply, heading for the elevators.

"I'm going to get a straight answer out of you someday." I look at him as the elevator doors close.

"You can try. Goodnight!" I select my floor number and sigh as my eyes begin to get heavy.

Fury is going to give me a straight answer tomorrow.
