Annika adjusted pleats of her new yellow colored designer embroidery saree for the last time looking in the mirror. When she was satisfied with her look she pinned it up and looked herself in the mirror.
"This saree is soo beautiful but very heavy and costly. How many times I denied to take it but Pinky and Jhanvi aunty, they blackmailed me and ordered me to wear it tonight. But it's looking awkward. Today's party is for Shakti uncle and Pinky aunty as it's their anniversary today but looking at me people will think that this party is for me only. "
She said looking at herself.
"But promise is a promise I can't break their hearts."
She smiled a bit. Now a days Oberoi family is just like her own family to her more than that actually. Two months before Sahil went to boarding school but she never felt alone in these two months. Oberoi family gave her the love which she was craving from her childhood. Now her everyday start with them and end with them only. And they also treat her as the member of their family.
Annika went to the cupboard and took one jewellery box from it.
"Prinku gave this and asked me to wear this with this saree. Don't know what is wrong with all Oberoi ladies, from last week they are instructing me what and how to wear for tonight's party and all."
She smiled and came to the mirror with those heavy but royal earrings and one neckpiece. She pickup that earring.
"Shivaay will love it or not?"
She asked looking at that earring and then blushed hard and her cheeks were all red now by just mention of his name. She looked at the mirror and blushed more looking at her red face. But soon composed herself and tried to wear that earring. When she was busy in doing so the doorbell rang. Annika kept that earring on the table and rushed to the door. She opened it and her cheeks turned to deepest shade of red now. As the one who running in her mind 24*7 was standing there in a black tuxedo looking hot and handsome as always.
"Liked what you saw?"
Shivaay asked raising his right eyebrow and Annika came out of her dream land. She turned her gaze.
"I..... I was just surprised to see you here. Nothing else."
She managed to say still blushing. Shivaay smilingly entered into the house and came near her. She gulped hard and stood their holding the door by one hand. He came dangerously close to her and leaned to her ear.
"Lier....."
He slowly whispered in her ears in that process his lips touched her ears and then stood up as if nothing happened. Annika was shocked by this act of him. She looked at him and he was looking at his phone some distance away from her as if nothing happened.
