Nothing ever becomes real
'Til it is experienced
- John Keats.Kore's POV
I groaned as I opened my eyes, the sun shining brightly down on my face from the window. I frowned. I didn't remember having this much access to ventilation in my apartment. I glanced about the room; I was sleeping on black bedsheets and the room was painted in grey. uh-oh, I'm in Ella's room. Damn, she has no taste. I thought as I wrinkled up my nose in distaste for her 'dark' lifestyle.
Then, last night's events came crawling into my head and I grinned, wondering where Ella went off to. I pulled my shorts and t-shirt on and walked out of the bedroom, looking for her. She was in the kitchen, from what I can see, making breakfast.
She was humming a song to herself and smiling. It looked like she was extremely happy about something. Is it the sex? Well, I feel on top of the world too.
Her eyes darted to where I stood in the doorway and her grin widened. There there. This woman would be the death of me I mused as my stomach did flip-flops. I walked over to where she stood and wrapped my arms around her waist, dropping my head on her right shoulder.
"Good morning gorgeous", I said as I rubbed her stomach. Wow, she's not ticklish at all.
"Morning Kore", she replied and continued humming her song obviously lost in a world of hers.
"What's gotten you so happy?", I asked as let my teeth grazed the flesh just below her eyes. She moaned and jeez, that's giving me a fucking hard on.
"Stop it Kore!", she hit my arm playfully, still smiling and still working. "My old friend just called, I'vebeen looking for him all this while. I'm going to visit him today, do you mind if I lend your car Kore? Would you be going out today?", she asked without turning as she kept turning the plantains in oil.
"Of course. Don't take to long though, we have so many things to do", I whispered in her ears nipping at the tip and she laughed, her rich beautiful voice filling the air. She's got me good. "God Ella, how I love you", I murmured again her delicate skin and she stiffened.
She dropped the spoon she was holding and turned around to face me. I frowned.
"Y-you do?", she stuttered. Really? She didn't know?
"Of course I do", I replied, tracing her incredible jawline with my thumb and kissing her forehead, "I love you so much Ella".
I saw her bite her bottom lip and she wiggled herself out of my arms. She left the kitchen and I followed her wondering what was wrong. She was pacing about the living room.
"Kore, you need to leave", she suddenly blurted out and i narrowed my eyes.
"Why? Because I said I love you? But that's the truth Ella, I do love you", I said and took a few steps towards her but she moved away.
"Yes Kore! Yes!!! It's because you love me that you need to leave! Don't you understand?", She suddenly shouted and my throat went dry.
"What do you mean? You love me too down you?", My voice was breaking.
"No Kore", she began, "no I do not love you. I can't love you, I cannot love anyone dammit!"
My heart broke into a million pieces and dropped the floor. She turned to walk away but I reached out, grabbed her hand and pulled her close to me.
"Don't lie to me Ella", I whispered, 'I've see how you look at me. You obviously feel something for me. Please tell me I'm not wrong". Her eyes flickered with...fear? Then confusion and it finally steeled with resolve. She pulled away and walked towards the door, holding it open.
