Mal smiled at Ben, who sat next to her. 'Hi,' she greeted. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow. 'What? Are you talking to me?' 'Um, yeah?' she answered chuckling. 'Yeah, I don't talk to witches,' he said and looked away. 'I'm sorry? I'm a fairy and you know that! Ben, why are you acting like this?' she asked him. 'You are a dark fairy, which is almost the same as a witch, so you're a witch to me,' Ben answered nonchalantly. He shrugged. She laid her hand on his shoulder. 'Ben, what-' 'Don't you dare to touch me!' She looked in his eyes. She frowned. She saw something very weird in his eyes. Instead of the soft green, they were blue. Very blue. Bluer than Evie's hair. 'You know what, Mal? Or shall I say Maleficent?' he asked with fake kindness in his voice. Mal blinked a few times to stop her tears. 'You are just like your mother: thinking that you belong here. News flash: you belong on the Isle!'

Mal was hurt. Very hurt. She knew he was spelled, but still, it hurt to see those words coming out of Ben's mouth. The teacher came in. Mal couldn't stand it anymore and she ran out of the classroom, straight to the library to find a book about mythical spells and curses. She heard the teacher screaming her name, but she kept running. She sat there alone, crying, at a table in the wonderful library from Auradon Prep. After a few minutes of crying, she went searching for a book that will give her an answer to Ben's behavior. She came by a shelf full of dirt. She read the title.

Mal smiled. She looked at the book titles. She found a book with the title: 'The Spell of All Evil'. This had to be the book. She sat back down at the table and took her notebook out to write down important things from the book. If this wasn't the book, then Mal wasn't very lucky. She sighed. "I hope Ben will get back to normal soon, " she thought. A tear escaped. Another tear rolled down her cheek. And another one. Mal sat there, lonely and crying. She chuckled. "Don't worry, Bennyboo, you'll be back, I promise, " she said to herself.
