Evie went to chemistry. She held her head a bit down. People were laughing at her, although she didn't know why. Was it because of her clothes? Don't get me wrong, they were beautiful. They were just... Not Evie at all. Usually, nobody would do that.

Okay, maybe Taralyn, daughter of Tiana and Naveen. Or Anxelin, daughter of Rapunzel and Eugene. Oh, and definitely Audrey, of course. She quickly made her way to the classroom and took her seat next to Doug. Oof. Ugh, and opposite Chad Charming. Barf in silence.

Okay, so, she sat down. Doug welcomed her with his forever happiness. "Hey!" he greeted.

She sent him a sad smile. "Hi."

Doug noticed it and frowned. "What's wrong?" Evie shrugged and avoided his look. "Evie, I know there's something wrong, maybe I can help you?" he begged. She looked him in his eyes and was on the edge of tears. He hated it to see her like that.

"It's just... Everyone looks at me, and then, they laugh at me."

"Do you know why?"

"Yes, I mean, look at me!" Oh, he did. He always looked at her the whole time when he was with her.

He frowned again, he saw nothing wrong. Actually, he saw the most beautiful girl he ever saw in front of him. "Evie, I only see that you look pretty, as always, " he spilled.

She smiled. "Thank you, that is really sweet of you. But it's my outfit! I don't know what yet, but something is wrong with Auradon today." He gazed at her. She continued. "And I'll figure out soon."

Doug blinked a few times. Just as he wanted to ask her something, the teacher, Mr. Deley, came in. He looked even angrier than usual. Everyone was startled by his entrance. He growled. "WHERE IS CHAD CHARMING?!" he screamed. Indeed, Chad wasn't on his seat. The door opened. Chad came in with a blank face. He sat down. Mr. Deley became red and put his hands on his hips.

Oh-oh.

"Mr. Charming."

Chad turned around. "Hmm?" he simply hummed.

"WHY ARE YOU LATE IN MY LESSON?!"

Chad made his dramatic face. "Oh, Mr. Deley, it's terrible! SHE threatened me!" he pointed at Evie.

Her eyes widened. "Me?!"

"Yes, YOU! SHE threatened me with death and I was so scared I didn't dare to come!" Chad was about to cry. Ahem. Fake.

"Evie is that true?" Mr. Deley asked calmly, but deathly.

"No! Of course not! Why would I do that?"

"Because you are a villain kid!" Chad snapped.

Evie frowned. She looked at Chad, then at Mr. Deley. She saw the same in both of their eyes. Blue. Pure. Ice. Cold. Blue. It came out of her mouth. She asked Chad. "What's wrong with your eyes-"

Mr. Deley smacked his hand on his desk, which scared everyone. "THAT IS ENOUGH! YOU CAN LEAVE MY LESSON, NOW!"

"But..."

Mr. Deley pointed at the door. She looked at Doug and shook her head. He betrayed her. Again. She quickly packed her stuff and stormed out of the room.

"Evie!" Doug tried.

"Doug, do you want to leave my lesson too?"

"No, but-"

"THAN STAY SILENT!" Mr. Deley screamed.

"Yes, Mr. Deley, " Doug said quickly. He sighed deeply. He betrayed Evie, again! Just like Family Day! He found himself a donkey. A stupid, dumb donkey. He shook his head. Not this time. He packed his stuff and stood up.

"Doug, where do you think you're going?!" Mr. Deley asked.

"I am going to Evie, I won't let you treat her like this, Mr. Deley!"

"DOUG!"

Doug didn't care. He left the classroom, skipped class for the first time ever and ran after Evie.

Evie ran in the direction of the library. She heard Doug shouting her name. She fastened. So did Doug. It wasn't easy, but he stopped her by blocking her path. He panted and was covered with sweat.

Evie put her hands on her hips. "Doug, let me pass!"

"Not before... I talked... to you..." he said exhausted.

Evie wanted to respond, but she was stopped when she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She took a quick glance, but that was enough to rush past Doug to the library. "Evie, wait!" Doug yelled before he followed her. What Doug didn't know was that Evie got a very important message from Mal.
