Chapter five

Paige was standing outside the airport waiting for Ava when her plane landed and she came out. Before greeting or giving her hug, Paige firstly took a whole look of completely changed Ava. In these five years she had changed a lot. Instead of wearing sneakers she was wearing wedges. She always used to carry an old school bag stuffed with books but now she was carrying a small handbag. Her dress was totally changed. Earlier she used to wear jeans and a full length t-shirt, but now she was wearing a floral dress with matching accessories. Paige really liked her transformed look.

"Stop staring me like a fool, Paige." Ava blurted. "I am finally here standing in front of you but you are staring me like you have seen a ghost or....."

"I can't believe it. I mean you can't be Ava Bolton, my Ava. You are incredibly changed and I love you for that. Common give me a hug."

Paige was extremely happy to see Ava like this. She loved how Ava had not made herself a victim of unrequited love. She was always a hopeless romantic, believing in love and hope no matter what the situation is.

"So, what do you wanna do first? Wanna hangout or go home?"

"Well I need to drop my things at home then i will come with you. But wait what about your work?"

"Well since you were coming today I've cancelled all my appointments for two days which means we have a lot of time together."

"I totally love you Paige and thanks for all this."

"Shut up now. Lets head towards your home now. Your dad is waiting for you. And by the way I know I am a lovable person."

They giggled and headed towards Ava's home. During their whole journey towards her home they both talked about their different lives. They both shared all the times when they weren't together. Paige told Ava that she's now dating a guy named Zeus. He's a minor league baseball player. She told her how they met and started dating. Ava told about Luke and their friendship and how she felt after Beau got engaged. She would have broken down and shattered into pieces if Luke wouldn't have been with her. Apart from Paige, Luke was the only one on whom she could count on.

Ava's parents were extremely happy on seeing her daughter return. Her mothers was shedding tears the same way she did when she left home five years ago but this time they were tears of joy. Her brother, Orlando was now in high school. Although he always said that he won't miss her is she's gone nor will he get sad but he did miss her a lot.

Brother sisters are like that. Initially they say they hate each other, fight all the day like mad bulls but in the end, they can't live without each other. They are accomplices. They are saviour.

"I hate you, for being away from me for five years. I really missed you a lot.", Orlando said hugging Ava.

"Look who's talking. Someone said that he won't miss me. And now he's acting like a crybaby.", said Ava. "Well I wasn't expecting myself to say that but yes I missed you too"

Moving towards her parents she said, "I apologise from you all. Sorry for staying away from you all. I really missed you all and this time I'm not gonna leave you all again."

The whole family along with Paige had their lunch together and then Ava left with Paige to hang out for some time. They went to their regular place THE BREW. During school days they both used to hang out there a lot. They had made a lot of memories there together. The owner of the brew Mr. Fitzgerald was really fond of them. He saw them as his own daughters. All these years he missed both of them. Even though Paige lived here she never visited. She waited for Ava to come.

As they entered, a smile grew wider on Mr.Fitzgerald's face. He was waiting for them for five years.

"Hi, Mr. Fitzgerald.", Ava greeted.

"Hello girls. Long time.... How are you both?"

"Well Mr. Fitzgerald we both are absolutely good and have missed you a lot."

"well I missed you too........ So what will you have?"

"our regular drink... Latte with sugar syrup."

"it'll be with you in five minutes."

They then sat on their old seat where they used to sit when they were in school.

"So, wanna talk about Beau?", Paige asked.

"I'm over him now. He doesn't matter to me now as he used to."

"Oh, really!"

"Yes....... Okay tell me about him what is he doing these days. Tell me about his whereabouts."

"Well he works with Arcade Publications And her fiancée Ashley is the daughter of the owner of that publication company. I have kinda lost touch with him but people say that he has wooed her for getting a place in that company."

"well he's not that kind of guy."

"Maybe he's not but that's what people say about him."

"Okay just change the topic. I'm feeling sick with this."

They talked for two hours about the whole town, their lives and other things. As they were about to leave Ava saw someone. At first she couldn't recognise him but as he came closer she recognised him. It was Beau.
