The only thing that crossed Ava's mind at that time was that how she would face him. She still loved him. After all what he did to her she still craved feelings for him.

"I should call Paige", she thought.

She knew know one can make her feel better than Paige. She would give her a solution to this problem. If not, she would make Beau resistant.

"Hey, you called at this hour! Everything's fine na?"

"Beau would be that writer, I am gonna collaborate with. Geez!! Help me. Why I'm so struck in this hotch-potch?"

"Jesus Ava! You sound too dramatic. California had a great impact on you. "

"Shut up! I'm so..... don't even know the feeling and you're joking here. I..... I hate you!"

"Love you too."

"Paige!!!!"

"Ok fine. Well the thing that I'm not able to understand is that why you are so stressed out at this? I mean you're not the one who cheated. You were the victim. He should be shameful."

"Technically he didn't cheat on me coz we weren't dating.", Ava retaliated.

"Whatever! But she he owes you an explanation."

"Yeah. But still...."

"Shut up! He should have thought of all this before kissing you."

"How do you know?"

"A...... it.....was"

"You witnessed that. You were there. Paige I'm gonna kill you."

They both burst into laughter. Best Friends are like that. They can make everything seem funny. I repeat everything.

"Okay yes I witnessed it. But seriously it was really funny."

"......"

"Okay now go and sleep. You have to meet Beau Carson tomorrow."

"Yeah. Goodnight. Kisses."

"Goodnight. Kisses."

The next day Ava woke up with mixed personality. One was full of confident, brave and bold girl the other was a broken-hearted girl. Luke came early to drop her to the new office. He was excited to meet the new writer. He didn't have the slightest ides that the writer was going to be Beau.

On reaching the office they both headed towards Jack's office to meet the new writer. As he opened the cabin's door, he noticed Ava making strange faces. Like she was trying to look more serious and brave kind. He found it funny. Jack introduced Beau to both of them.

"This is Beau Carson and you are Luke Evans And Ava Bolton."

For a second Luke was confused. Then he realised that Beau was the one who broke Ava's heart. He realised she already that's why she was trying to look brave and as if it doesn't matter what Beau did to her.

"Hi. I am Luke Evans. Ava's best friend and I'll be assisting you while you will be writing with Ava."

"I thought Paige was her only best friend. Never heard about you.", Beau replied.

"She's still my best friend. But I found someone other than her that makes me happy and feel safe.", said Ava.

"Yeah. I can see that. Well I know that. People change. They change with the flow of time."

"People change. They do change because few of their fellows want them to. When they feel the pangs of betrayal and changed priorities, they change. You must be knowing it very well, I suppose."

Feeling the heat of atmosphere, Luke intervened to normalise everyone.

"Well Mr. Carson, would you like to have coffee with us?"

"Yea. Sure!"

And they headed towards the cafeteria. Ava was controlling her emotions which flooded her mind. She just wanted to shout loudly and slap him for what he did to her. She wanted to ask every question that crossed her mind all these years. She wanted answers to all her questions.

"So Mr. Carson what kind of genres do you like to write?"

"Romance, Young adult fiction."

"That means you're totally into love stories."

"Yes. I think It is the most beautiful feeling. Love is the best thing that can happen to anyone."

"Oh really! Do you really think that? Looks like you don't even know what love is. All you know is to date girls on the basis of their face. You can't even love someone.", Ava protested.

"Enough Ava. I think we need to talk."

"No. I don't want to."

Saying this she banged on the banged and ran towards her cabin. Beau ran after her. He took her by arms and stopped her forcefully.

"You can't do this to me. You have to listen."

"Listen what? I've heard enough. I have listened enough."

"It's not what it seems like. You should learn the truth. Truth is far away from reality."

"What's the truth? Tell me. What are you hiding?"

"I and Ashley aren't engaged for real. We're being forced to do this."
