"Hi," Jane said casually as Everlyn fell into the seat beside her, not moving her eyes off her in case she was a ghost and was imaging everything.

"Hi..." Everlyn replied unsurely.

Jane laughed softly at Everlyn's reaction, she took advantage of her being stunned and looked at her. She had missed not seeing Everlyn in real life, sure there were the vague instagram posts at tourist locations but nothing could compare to seeing her in the flesh a little skinner perhaps, but stunning nonetheless.

"How's your holiday been?" Jane asked and took a sip of Everlyn's beer.

Everlyn furrowed her eyebrows. "Good," she answered quickly so she could move onto more pressing matters. "How did you know I was here?"

"Steph," Jane admitted a little guilty.

"How did you know I was here here, in this pub?"

Jane hesitated. "Snapmaps."

Everlyn looked away, she was pissed off that she'd slipped up on something as minor as that. Jade was watching them both from the other end of the bar suspiciously, a little jealously if she was honest.

"Are you mad I'm here?" Jane asked.

Everlyn looked at her wearily, too exhausted to fight and too over the whole scenario to let her feelings get involved. "I don't... Yeah..." She sighed. "No, no, just surprised obviously."

Jane nodded. "I should have told you, but I knew you'd never let me come or even want to see me."

"So you stopped working and flew all this way just to talk?"

Jane looked down at the bench. "I just sold the business, I was sick of picking through everyone's rubbish."

"But you love your job."

Jane shrugged. "I needed a change."

What she wasn't saying was that ever since Everlyn was gone, things were back to her old life pre second affair and everything was boring and dull, even work. So she gave it the flick and booked a one way ticket to wherever Everlyn was to try and get her, she had Ricky and Steph on her side, she was fairly confident

Everlyn narrowed her eyes, she knew Jane wasn't telling her everything and she wanted to know what, but she didn't want to cross any lines.

"I'm sorry," she said, it was all she knew to say.

Jane shrugged. "It's fine."

Everlyn nodded, she looked out the window and closed her eyes. This all had to be a dream, she couldn't be sitting next to Jane after all the times she had imagined it, it just couldn't be real.

"Are you alright, Ev?" Jane asked softly, placing her hand on Everlyn's arm.

"Yeah." Everlyn opened her eyes and looked back at Jane. "Just tired."

"When are you coming home?"

Everlyn shook her head. "I don't know, maybe -" She cut herself off and sat up taller in her chair. "Is that why you're here?"

Jane didn't answer straight away. "I can't lie to you, I swore I wouldn't after everything that we went through, so yes, that's why I'm here."

Everlyn laughed. "I should have fucking known! Who asked you to come? And why is it you?"

"Steph and Ricky, they thought you'd listen to me." It was true, Steph and Ricky were worried about Everlyn and wanted her home and they thought that out of anyone, Jane would have the best chance at getting her away from Europe.
