Luke P.O.V
"Today we'll do a run through of the date considering you know pretty much all of the basics," I said.
School had gone by surprisingly quick today. Especially with Michael and I passing notes back and forth in every class. Most of it was me quizzing him on his dating lessons to see if he really was studying. He surprisingly had been because he never missed a beat! If he'd studied like this for school he would be aceing every class.
"I'm going to pretend to be everyone besides you. Jamie's mum, dad, and herself. Also, the workers at the movies."
Michael nervously picked at his fingernails. "Okay," he said hesitantly. His feet tapped on the carpeted floor. His socks had little guitars on them because he was so "punk rock".
Seeing his unease, I sat next to him on my bed. "What's wrong, Mikey?" I asked.
"It's just- I don't..." Michael stuttered and then spoke, "I'm really fucking scared. I'm never scared about anything but right now I am terrified. I'm terrified that I might screw up and if I do then it might spread and then I might get bullied or some shit and then I'll never get another chance at dating and people will think I'm even weirder than I really am which is pretty damn weird and I just want to be a good fucking date-"
"Mikey! Calm down, mate," I interrupted. I instantly felt bad. It was probably my fault that he was freaking out even worse now. "You know dating isn't as bad as I make it out to be, right? I'm just giving you worst possible situations to be prepared for anything."
He nodded, not meeting my eyes. The green-haired boy was breathing heavily as if he couldn't get enough of the oxygen around him. He looked like he was going to vomit.
"Think of it like this," I continued, attempting to lighten the mood, "I'm training you to have balls of steele in dating."
Mikey's too-pink lips quirked up into a smile. He met my eyes and said, "My balls are already made of steele."
"I'm just reinforcing it," I grinned.
"I don't need you to reinforce the steeliness of my balls, thank you very much!" He exclaimed, feigning offense.
"What on earth are you boys talking about?!" My mum's voice sounded through the door.
"Nothing!" I shouted as Michael slapped a hand over his mouth to keep himself from laughing.

I decided Mikey didn't need any more stress than he currently had. In other words, I didn't want him to end up in an early grave from excessive amounts of stress due to me. Because that would be a shit thing to have on my conscience.
I threw in only minor obstacles throughtout the date: enough to keep him alert but not too much to make him want to punch me in the face. Some obstacles were like the Dad questioning his intentions, Jamie gossiping about "how Tara and Dean totally hooked up last week", and (of course) making him sit through a terrible chick-flick.
"This is the most important part," I said as I slid the disc into the dvd player. It was some movie my mum loved and made my dad and I sit through. We were gagging by the first twenty minutes. "There is a chance she will be totally into awful, gooey, sappy romance movies with really boring plots and predictable endings."
