Chapter 10 :" Missing Link "

   Pari opened her eyes and felt relived to see him hovering over her , just looking at him was enough to reassure her ,she was safe. Then her eyes landed on the rest of them and her face lost its smile.

"Are you okay? " his voice brought her thoughts back to him and she only nodded her head in answer ,and realized that it still hurt as her hand went to clutch it .

" Swara ..Swara " two different voice called her by the name and it only intensified the pain in her head until she looked at him and somehow his presence was enough to hold back the pain, her mind said it was impossible but she knew he was the only one anchoring her from the chaos in her mind .

" Laksh , please give her time to calm down ." Arjun spoke up as he came to stand beside the stranger in the room ,not exactly a stranger a man she was going to marry , she had thought that seeing him in person would maybe bring back her memories . Because she was going to marry him , but his face brought no emotion from her .

" Did you forget your memory again ?" Ragini voice pierced her thoughts as she looked towards her cousin ,who kept her distance as if she was aware that to Pari they were strangers .

" Yes ..I know you are my cousin , Arjun told me so but I have no memory ,I am sorry Ragini " Pari managed to form those words because she felt like ragini needed to hear those words from her .

        " It okay ,you are alive and that's more than enough for me " Ragini answered back and the next thing Pari felt was being engulfed in an embrace . Somehow the hug felt familiar and it relaxed Pari a bit that maybe she didn't forget everything about her past.  

               " You can talk later with Pari ,Ragini. She needs rest for now " Arjun spoke up after a few minutes of silence and she knew from the way Laksh was looking at her ,she needed some time to face him . He hadn't said a word so far but his gaze never left her.

                  As the three of them left her alone , she realized she had forgot to mention to Arjun why she fainted . When Arjun asked her to stay inside the room ,the room that wasn't in any of the building plans which meant only very few people knew about its existence .

                She got bored after few minutes that her eyes began to search the little things that remained in the room, that included a writing desk and chair . Her search led her to his books ,she was so excited about seeing them that her hands reached for it in excitement .

                 Pari had asked Arjun to lend his books for her to read when she found he was a writer  but he didn't think it was a great idea ,she didn't consider that the tragedy incurred in her life had anything to do with his books but a deranged person ,  yet he failed to listen to her just like he refused to listen to everyone else who said he was innocent .

            She saw the books were arranged in order and so she choose the first book , sat in the chair and opened the book to read. She turned to the first page and stumbled upon the dedication part, it brought in fresh new set of memories that she didnt understand. In the flash of memories she remember herself reading it for the first time and jumping up and down in happiness, she didnt know why but then she ran towards some strangers and hugged them as well.  

        That where the memory stops and she wondered why it brought in that much happiness to her back then, since she could hear hushed voices speaking . She knew Arjun was explaining everything to his brother and her cousin and so she made her way back into the room  and took the book that had fell out of her hands while she fainted , picked it from the floor and scanned the dedication yet again.
