Chapter Seven:
My heart pounded as we rushed into the gym. I stared up at the rock wall, where Erica was. She was shaking vigorously and she was gasping. Her hands begun to slip and Allison and I sprinted over to her. But as soon as we made it to her, Scott ran beside us and caught her before she made it to the ground.
“Put her on her side,” Allison quickly told Scott as soon as he put her on the ground. Scott did so, and held her hands as she shook. “How’d you know?” Allison whispered to Scott.
“Just felt it,” he said, a scared tone in his voice. “How’d you?” Allison looked over at me and I nodded.
“I’ll go get coach and the nurse,” I quickly said as I got up and ran to Coach’s office.

I closed my locker door and let out a gigantic breath. The day was over, I could finally go home. I could only imagine how Erica feels. I put my backpack over my shoulder and contemplate in my head if I should go up to Stiles, or have him come get me. I’m feeling too lazy to do anything right now.
“Hey, Brittany,” I heard Matt. I tried to contain my eye roll as I lifted my head up from my locker. I gave him a small smile.
“Hey,” I said as I leaned against my locker. Matt showed me his camera which had a broken lens. My eyes widened. “What happened?” Matt sighed.
“Jackson happened,” he said. “So you agree, it’s pretty bad.” I nodded and took the camera into my hands.
“What was Jackson doing with it?” I asked, curious. Why in the hell would Jackson need a video camera?
“I have no idea; he said he was, ‘documenting history’.” Matt put air quotes around documenting history. I turn my eyebrows in and hand the camera back to Matt. Documenting history? What does that mean? I’ll have to mention it to Scott and Stiles later. Allison too. “So, I was wondering, maybe you could cover the next lacrosse game? I’ll be playing the next game too, Coach said, so I won’t be able to take pictures or tape anyway.”
“Yeah, sure, no problem,” I told him. My father might let me go to the lacrosse games from now on if it’s for school. “I’d love too.” Matt gave me a smile and leaned against the locker next to me, so he was directly in front of me.
“Also, I was wondering…” he got quieter. “Are you, um… still dating Stilinski?” I stared at him, confused. Then I felt a protecting hand on my shoulder.
“Yes, she is,” Stiles said. Matt gave a small smile and nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Matt said quietly as he turned the other way. I turned towards Stiles who looked down at me with a mischievous smile as he grabbed me in his arms.
“I’m keeping an eye on that boy,” Stiles told me. I rolled my eyes.
“You have absolutely nothing to worry about,” I assured him as everybody filed out of the hallways. He snickered as he placed one arm around my shoulders and we began to make our way out of the hallway.
When we made it to the car, Amanda sat in front of the jeep, playing on her phone.
“Beat my high score in 2048,” she told us as she stood up. “Jeez, how long does it take two people to migrate to a car?” I laughed and Stiles rolled his eyes. “I got places to be, chemistry projects to not do.” Stiles unlocked the jeep and we each made our way into it. Amanda in the back, Stiles in the driver’s seat, and me in the passenger’s seat.
