SLAM!!!!!!

The front door closed behind me. My hand still enclosed around the small one before it ran off trying to find someone. My arms immediately swing around my body. The shy, scared, little girl came out and I once again I was motionless.

So motionless that I hadn’t even noticed that the small figure had returned but with a larger figure.

“Her name is Alexandra and I found her in my tree house this morning.” Were the words that pulled me into reality before slightly exiting out again.

After that all I heard was a big sigh and footsteps signalling that the figure that once stood there has left.

I looked up and noticed that the person has come back with a pillow and a blanket, only saying;

“You will sleep on the couch tonight and tomorrow we will deal with you.” And then walked off without saying another word. I set up the ‘bed’ and sat down only to be comforted by a presence.

“What are you doing here?” Casper asked with the slight eagerness in his voice.

“I’m staying for the night then leaving in the morning.” I blankly replied. My focus still on the floor below.

“I can’t wait for tomorrow then.” A long silent pause engulfed us but then was broken with; “And don’t you dare go back to my sister’s treehouse.” Before exiting.

I lied down on the bed. The clock started to ring signalling it is a new hour.  My eyes started to droop down. I closed my eyes hoping to be alone but it wasn’t met with the satisfaction. The small figure with the name Bethany squeezed in next to my larger figure. I took the time to study her. Soft brown hair, dark blue eyes, just complete and utter perfection.

“Please don’t leave me!” a small and quite voice said out of the blue.

“I don’t know if I can stay” I replied with my voice softer than hers

“Mum and dad will be back soon! You’ve got to wait until they come back. PLEASE!!!!!!” The tiny innocence had pleaded hoping to get want she wants.

“Alright, alright. I’ll stay until they come back. When do they come back exactly?”

Suddenly, out of the middle of nowhere, the front door swings open.

“MUMMY!!! DADDY!!!” the child squealed with excitement as she sprinted to her parents who happily picked her up “I want you to meet someone” she had said once she collected her thought.

“Who is..” a male voice started by stoped immediately after he saw me.

Bethany wiggled from her mother’s grasp and jumped on my pre-made bed and said “This is Alexandra and I found her in my tree house. Yolla said she can stay for the night or until you decide to let her stay because I’m not going to let her leave.” She had rambled with a big smiled on her face.

“Ok, she can stay for the night and we’ll decide what will happen in the morning” a female voice had filled the room.

Silence. Complete and utter silence. Nothing was to be heard.
