June 2007
I was one of the troublemakers in the school. Some of the teachers named me as the walking chaos because I only brought problems. Almost everyday, I got into trouble with my other school mates.
And while Sir. Fernandez kept on torturing me, a girl wearing our school uniform entered the faculty room. Her black hair was above her shoulder. She has a small and bubbly face and her height is also short.
“So you are Haven Mortez?” Mrs. Constantino asked the girl who was sitting beside her.
Haven pala ang pangalan niya.
“Your grades are excellent but seniors don’t usually transfer, ok lang ba sayo’ yun?” She added while looking at the Transcript of Record of the transfer student.
“Opo, okay lang ako.” Haven replied. And I can’t help but to smile when I heard her voice. It was soft , like a lullaby to my ear.
Flores.” Mrs. Constantino said before she left the faculty room. Haven was now sitting alone that’s why I crawl towards her direction.
“Hey, transferee? First time mong magtransfer?” I asked almost whisper because the other teacher might hear me. “Lumipat din ako dito last semester. Kaya kung kailangan mo ng tulong feel free to ask me. Ako si Broderick Aguilar. Erick na lang for short from class-1” I added as I lifted my right hand to her. But she didn’t took an effort to shake my hand. She was just looking at me with blank expression.
I said, ashamed because she saw me getting punishment from my teacher. So, eventhough my butt was in pain, I tried to sit properly.
“Broderick Aguilar.” I shifted my gaze to her when she called my name for the first time.I smiled from ear to ear and ask her, “Bakit?”
Nakakaasar!

As the days passed by, Haven became the hot topic of the school. She was beautiful that’s why the other boys in school admire her and do everything to get her attention.
