Surviving High School:

- if you're getting bullied don't cry. Trust me, I've been bullied plenty of times before and this is not the answer. If you need to get someone else's help, but you have to stand up to them, it's hard but it works. And one comeback is normally all it takes.

- getting ahead on assignments and homework is a definite must. You guys have no idea how much stress this saves when teachers change due dates.

- don't ask to go to the bathroom during class, people will assume the worst and you will receive weird looks for the next week.

- try to stand out. Don't follow the crowd, I'm telling you to go against everything that anyone else is telling you because if you sit behind and just follow the crowd you're essentially loosing your identity. Be an individual, that's what got me to being where I am. Sure, you're going to make a few enemies, but what popular girl actually enjoys being kicked out of being popular (well apart from me). If you're just a friendly and nice person then people will take you for granted and use you. Stand up for yourself and don't let anyone tell you what to do, except the teachers. They can tell you what to do.

- avoid trouble. Don't go sucking up to teachers but avoid trouble. Be friendly with the teachers but don't go kidding their feet. That'll earn you a lot of haters. Plus, if you get out of school with no detentions you're doing awesomely (I'm in yr 10 and I still haven't ever gotten a detention, infringements? Plenty, but never a detention).

- pass, don't care if people call you a nerd because you're never going to see the majority of these people after you leave school. So get a good grade because that will matter after school.

- don't lie about anything. People have ways of finding out. NEVER LIE, I can't stress this enough.

- and finally, if you get a boyfriend don't take him for granted. He's worth a lot more that what you think at the time. Trust me, some people have told me that I need to kiss my boyfriend or break up with him, but it's my relationship and I don't want to break up with him but we're happy where this relationship stands. So if you're prying around in other people's love lives STOP IT no one likes it. If anything that's what causes more break ups than stronger relationships.
