Feelings

Zayn and I walk hastily through the passage. First, we had to crawl, but after five minutes, we could walk straight up. Zayn holds a torch in his hand. I don't know how he got it, but I'm thankful, because the fire gives us lighting.

Suddenly, I hear something. I sounds like footsteps. I stop in my tracks. Zayn notices, and raises his eyebrow.

'What...' He wants to ask, but I don't let him finish. I place my hand over his mouth. He understands what I mean and I put my hand off his mouth. I watch as he's listening to what I've heard earlier. Suddenly I'm pulled back through him, his body covering mine. We're standing in a dark side way. He extinguishes the torch and now it's completely dark. I only feel his warm breath in my neck repeatedly. I don't know why, but it gives me goosebumps.

The noises become louder with each second and suddenly, there a bright light of multiple flashlights coming from the head way of the passage.

'Which way do you think they've gone?' Someone asks.

'Straight on, I guess.' Another one says. I squeeze Zayn's arm tightly, because I'm really scared. When I asked him to help me, I never knew this... adventure... would come along. I just wanted to go there peacefully, but this is everything but peaceful.

'Yes, I think you're right.' Another voice says. The footsteps continue, but it slowly becomes less louder.

'Do you think they're gone?' I whisper, when I don't hear anything else but my own heartbeat.

'Yea.' He whispers. I let go of his arm and he steps back. I lean on the wall and try to get calm. It's still dark, and I'm thankful, because I don't want Zayn to see me like this. Scared. He probably noticed my fear, even he could feel my heart beating, so close were we. I even could enjoy it, if we weren't in a very dangerous situation.

'Let's go.' He whispers.

'Yea.' I answer. Zayn walks in front of me, and it's too dark to see something, so I bump into him a couple of times. He just sighs when it happens. I hold onto the wall, so I don't bump into anything else, besides Zayn.

Then I see a small light tip and I smile. Finally we're out of this dark hole. When we're finally outside, the sun shines bright. It hurts my eyes, so I close them

'Perrie, no time to enjoy the weather, we have to get away.' Zayn says and I mentally roll my eyes. I follow him into the woods. We walk for a very long time. This wood is huge. But it's beautiful. The birds are whistling, the sound of a river calms my thoughts and the green of the trees is very bright and it makes me happy.

I walk next to Zayn, while he is staring to the ground. Yesterday, when we had to watch out for each other every two hours, I watched his face while he was sleeping. It was then when I noticed for the first time how gorgeous he is. His light tinted face has perfect features. His lips are full, his eyes are warm and you could stare into them forever. His arms are muscular and he's tall. You can see he's strong and brave. But he's also very mysterious.

Since I asked him about his parents, I haven't asked him anything yet. I wouldn't dare to do that. I don't want another fight. Not now.

It becomes afternoon and I'm really bored and a little tired. I just want to rest.

'Do you mind if we stop for today?' I ask him.

'Why do you want to stop?' He asks.

'Because I don't like walking anymore.' I answer. He chuckles.

'I thought you wanted to be in the mountains as quick as possible?' He half asks.

'Yea, I know, but...' I become quiet.
