"Chloe you're gonna be late for school"

One sentence I dread every morning. The loud crack of my moms voice every morning as she yells at me from the bottom of the stairs for me to get up and get ready. There's just something about school mornings; The sky's darker. My rooms cold. The beds warm. All things that keep my body from not functioning and getting up to face that day! It just hits 8:05am as I hear the stomping of my moms work boots reaching my door, the doorknob turning and there she is. Staring at me with her
are you serious face.

My mom was actually very beautiful. She had dark, chocolate hair that she'd keep in a slick back bun held with a pen. Her flawless cheekbones were like her most prone feature and her bright green eyes. She would often wear her glasses on the bridge of her nose and tilt her head forward when talking to me or my brother. She had a toned body as she attended the "gym" regularly; I personally think she has a thing for the gym instructor but that's just my opinion honestly..

"You're meant to knock..you know that"
May or not be the stupidest thing I could've ever said.
"Knock? Are you being serious. Me and your brother have been waiting downstairs for around 40 minutes for you. I can't go to work until I know you and your brother have left for school! Now get up!"

Is it just my mom or do they always over exaggerate, 40 minutes? More like 10 and over protective, don't get me started. I'm 16 not 12 I'm sure she could leave I'd make it in school perfectly safe.

Before I could even think to reply she was out the door and huffing while stomping down the stairs.
I came to the realisation that was my last chance, so I got up and had a shower, dried my hair and was dressed in around 15 minutes; I know world record or what!

I decided to annoy my mom even more and put on a bit of makeup on and present myself a bit better for school for once.
My room was actually very tidy, considering I'm a teenager who likes to throw things around like a baby in a pram. I sat down at my desk and turned my mirror lights on which hit me like a ray of sunshine!

Looking at myself early in the morning made me realise how ugly I was. I hated my ginger hair; always had done. Everyone I ever met liked to complement me on how beautiful it was but that was never how I viewed it. My brother finds it hilarious and used to joke about how I was adopted, as
I'm the only member of the family with red hair; which became a great source of topic for whenever his friends met me! However with ginger hair I was blessed with pale skin. No like seriously. My skin was quite very pale. So I sometimes use this golden powder pot I found in my moms makeup bag and dabbed it across my face and hoped it darkens me up a bit...

I strolled downstairs to be met with my mom and brothers annoyed face.
My brother never actually got annoyed, he was actually the best brother anyone could really hope for. His name is Caleb and he's 2 years older than me making him 18. He looked a lot more like our mom than me, chocolate styled hair. Bright green eyes. Strong figure.
Guess I was the unlucky one...

"Chloe, get your bag and get in the car. You don't have time for breakfast now. Just make sure you eat lunch today otherwise you'll be very hungry!" Mom said this every morning to me, it became a routine.

"Yes mom, whatever you say mom" and i was out the the door before she could moan at my for my attitude :)

Car journeys were the best with Caleb, we'd rock out to queen and try to hit Freddie's high notes before realising we both suck at singing!
"Okay kiddo, have fun! I'm gonna go park up as I'm free for this lesson so just gonna chill with some friends! I'll see you later!"
"Okay, bye!!" I replied.

My school was fairly typical. Long boring corridors. Basic boring classrooms. And of course basic boring kids.
Until I reached my favourite class...
Science!
As I turned the corner of the hall I realised i was 5 minutes late, so I ran to the blue door entitled Science Mr Jenson

I knocked and entered and there stood at the front of the class was Mr Jenson with his arm around a boy I'd never seen before...
