3. the engagement party

A few weeks later..

This school year was going amazing, I had made a great group of friends; Leo, India and Sienna. We call ourselves the fantastic four!
Leo and I were getting on amazing, he was exactly the same as me, we were like fraternal twins.

Leo's family were celebrating a recent engagement in his family and invited me and India to come along; Sienna couldn't come as she had family problems :(
I had been contemplating what to wear all week; shorts and a top, jeans and a top, a playsuit, a dress.
What would you wear?

India came over to my house on the night of Leo's engagement party to get ready. She looked beautiful. Her skin looked like melted caramel chocolate , soft and glowing. She had bright unique green eyes that stood out so boldly amongst her face. She was a mix between Jamaican and Barbados. Which as you can imagine made her look like a beautiful goddess compared to me...

"Hi India, would you like a drink while you and Chloe get ready?"
"Yes please, could I have a glass of water?"India replied.
Mom went into the kitchen to get her a drink,
"how you feeling, are you nervous, excited?.." I asked her.
"Why would you be nervous Chloe? It's a party! Can't wait!"
"Oh, I don't know. I guess I'm just nervous to see Leo. I do really like him"
Not realising my mom had entered the room.
"Ooooo is this Leo you're referring too. Chloe and Leo, Chloe and Leo!" She joked, finding herself hilarious!
"Oh shut up mom! Come on India we have an hour and a half to get ready!" I could feel my face burning up, red.
We both went upstairs to my room where I set out all my hair and makeup stuff!

1 hour and 20 minutes later...

"Are you ready girls" mom shouted up to us.

India straightened my hair as she didn't need to do anything to hers as it was naturally a curly, beautiful afro. Im wearing skinny white jeans and a red crop top I got off my auntie for Christmas.
India was wearing a short black dress with pretty lace detailing at the top.
We decided on quite minimalistic makeup as it was only an engagement party and we didn't want to over do it!

We arrived fifteen minutes later, to a large brick house.
It was unbelievable!
I didn't even realise there was houses like this near where I lived!
"This is amazing!" India shouted in excitement.
We both got out and began to walk towards the wooden, black door and I knocked.

A small, blonde woman came to the door, she was petite and looked quite cute. She was wearing a pale pink dress that hugged her figure perfectly.
"You must be Chloe and India! Come on in Leo's so excited to see you both!"

As I walked in, I was overwhelmed by the large, swirled stairs that confronted me! A beautiful chandelier hung down from the ceiling above us.
"This is beautiful..um miss"I stuttered.
"Oh.. call me Louise!"

"Wow Chloe, India you both look stunning!" A voice echoed from the top of the stairs. Leo had a dark, velvet, burgundy suit on and his hair had be combed upwards with what looked like gel? He looked very handsome I couldn't take my eyes off him.
He came down towards us and showed us out into the garden where there was others around our age and some older guys who must of been Flynn's friends..
"I've got to go help my mom with the food otherwise she'll faint of stress!" Leo explained.

India and I went to get a drink from underneath the gazebo. I could feel a pairs of eyes burning my back as when I turned a guy was staring at me. He looked familiar?

It was Flynn..
He smirked and made his way towards us, my heart began to race.
"Hi girls, you both look nice" he laughed sarcastically " Can I borrow you Chloe?"
"Sure, I'll be back India. Just go find Leo inside."
She winked in reply.

Why did he want me? We've never spoke before?

He led me towards the corner of the garden, which was huge may I add, and lent against the fence. Locking eyes with me.

Then he began to speak...
