6. the aftermath

"WAIT WHAT?"
"CHLOE, CALEB IS ON TOP OF FLYNN!!"
Surely not.

My heart began to race quicker than I could breath.
I had to see for myself..
Teachers began to dart over, as I squeezed myself through a group of girls recording it on their iPhones.
Flynn's face; full of blood.
Caleb's fist; full of Flynn's blood.
This can't be happening..
My initial reaction was to grab Caleb and remove in from the scene, so i went with my gut and did that...

Suddenly I felt my head hit the cold ground, as all went silent.

"CHLOE! CHLOE PLEASE WAKE UP!!"

Slowly I started to see light, bright lights and tons of dark silhouettes surrounding me. Caleb and Flynn both in front of me, both their faces full of worry and frustration.

"I am so sorry Chloe! I didn't see you, I was still angry and I guess I just.. just freaked out or something.."

"Wh..h-at...my hea-d-d hur-t-s" I could feel the deep sensation of burning blood filling my head, or maybe I was just sle.....Zzz Zzz

Suddenly my vision became clear and I was in a very familiar location, home. What is actually going on? One minute Caleb and Flynn are fighting. Next I'm at home with a bandage around my head?

"Chloe dear, can you hear me?"
I nodded, unable to put my thoughts into words.
"Caleb and Flynn has a fight if you remember and well out of pure frustration and anger as you went to touch Caleb he.. punched you, knocking you straight out.. The doctor has seen you as said you're fine, your head might hurt a little but I've got some pain killers for you. But Caleb is so unbelievably sorry and is so worried! He's upstairs with Mia at the moment as I told him to wait up there but I'll call him now you're awake. Are you feeling okay? Are you dizzy at all?"

This was still very hard for me to process...

"Wait, I feel fine. I guess.So Caleb punched me all because he was angry at Flynn. Why would he do that?" I asked, heartbroken.

"I told you dear, it was out of pure anger he couldn't of known it was you-"

"Yeah but that's not the point. Anyone could of gone to touch him. What if that was a teacher or a younger student? Where is he I want to speak to him!"

My vision was perfect now, in stumbled Caleb, his fist wrapped it bandages and a stitch across his forehead. I noticed he was holding hands with.. Mia of course, why was she even here? This is a family situation not one for her to be involved in. Her dark wavy brown hair was in a ponytail for a change, so I could see her full face covered in a full face of makeup (like always). My eyes couldn't help but look her up and down, she's wearing tight black leather leggings. With a red and black check plaid longline shirt with a denim jacket... typical.

"Um. Chloe I am so-" Caleb began to say.

"Why is she here?"
I'm sorry, I just had to ask :/

The room filled with silence as Mia began to speak, with a complete RBF written across her face.
"Not to be rude or anything but Caleb is my boyfriend. Yes boyfriend. He has been upstairs crying his eyes out over you and the best you could do was ask why I'm here? I think you need to apologise, to the both of us."
WoW. Am I hearing this correctly?

"I'm sorry but who even are you? This is a situation between my family, that not including you, just to be clear. So I'd be happy if you just left. Thanks."

Caleb rolled his eyes and turned to Mia whispering something in her ear and giving her a kiss. Why is Caleb being like this for? A smirk begins to appear on her face as she struts out the door slamming it behind her. Caleb walks over toward me and sits next to me, holding my hand between his.

"Chloe, I'm not going to even address your rudeness towards Mia. I just want you to know I am sorry but the whole reason I was fighting Flynn was to protect you. Make sure you was safe. I didn't know you had came over to help me so I retaliated. If you can't forgive me. That's your problem, just know this was all for and because of you." He stands up and walks outside meeting Mia outside to give her a hug.

Mom and I both simultaneously give each other the look when you're just in complete and utter shock.

"What was that all about?" Mom asks, looking both at me and outside to the lovebirds.

"I have no idea, I'm just going to go upstairs and sleep it off. Thank you mom for sitting here with me. I know I don't tell you a lot but I really do appreciate and love you very much!" As the words leave my mouth, she shuffles over and gives me the biggest hug and kiss I think we've had in about 7 years.
"I love you always my chloe" she replies.

I walk upstairs to find my phone and laptop on my neatly made bed.
Bless her for tidying my room.
I jump a bit too hard onto my bed as my head vibrates and a rush of pain flows up and down my body. My phone lights up with over 30 messages from my friends snapchat group chat named; the fantastic four. Which includes (Leo, India, Sienna and I) of course. Then also messages from mine, India's and Sienna group chat; tea spillers. Then lastly a message from....

Flynn?

"How does he have my number?"
The message reads:

hey Chlo, Leo gave me your number so I could apologise I guess. I'm sorry for all I've done, didn't mean it. Hope you're feeling okay now after hitting your head, gotta admit it was jokes tho haha!
P.S Leo asked if you can come over and see him tomorrow as he misses you, cringe I know.

I scroll and open a message from Leo.
Leo:
Hey! Hope you're okay now and feeling better! If you need anything give me a call and I'll be with you right away! Come see me tomorrow I miss you so much! Also I gave Flynn your number which was a bit stupid of me but he's in his room with a few of his mates so if he puts anything stupid just block him! Sowwey!
See you tomorrow hopefully!

Now that explains the pathetic apology.

I definitely need to go see Leo tomorrow and get out of this house, away from Caleb and his stupid girlfriend. Maybe just seeing Leo will get my mind off things..might also give me a chance to speak to Flynn?
