Ms. Mary led the teens into a room that was dimly lit. "I apologize for the poor lighting.." She said nervously before she switched on the light. The teens were blinded by the bright lights that flashed in there eyes not a moment after Mary flipped the switch. "Poor lighting?! Then what do you call good lighting?!" Eric complained to Mary. She laughed a bit. "You would go blind if you saw good lighting.." Eric was about to speak before Olivia covered his mouth. "He's done.." She glared at him.Hector and Rachel stared in awe at the room that surrounded them. There were weapons, punching bags, and so much more equipment! "Holy cow.." Rachel separated each of her syllables. "Remind me to keep my little sister away from here." Hector said in total shock. Ms. Mary chuckled. "Your sister and the rest of your family must never know about here.."
Olivia spoke again. "Why not?" Rachel chimed in. "Yeah! What's so bad about our parents finding out about us having superpowers-" She was cut off by Hector. "And the Government taking us away and using us as test subjects for Science.." He looked down. Ms. Mary chuckled. "Your exactly right Hector.. You cannot trust ANYONE! Not even your parents or siblings and especially not your friends." She sighed.
The teens all nodded in agreement. They were relieved to see Ms. Mary smile. "Well then, are you ready to start your training?" "HECK YEAH!" Eric bursted out. Olivia giggled at him. "He means yes!" She said, seeing Ms. Mary's confused expression on her face. That soon faded back into a smile as she looked at Hector and Rachel. "Let's do it!" Rachel spoke. Hector just nodded, but his look of excitement gave it away that he was ready.
"Ok!" Mary began. "Then I will split you up! Rachel, Olivia, you girls will be training with me!" They nodded. "Hector, Eric, you guys will be with Mr. Benjamin!" She smiled at the teen. Hector scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably. "Wait why are we stuck with Captain Crazy?!" Eric cut her off and crossed his arms. Rachel snickered. Olivia just coughed to hide her laughter.
Out of know where, Benjamin came up from behind them and hooked his arms around them. "You'll get over it! And we'll have so much fun!" He spiraled into a bit of insane laughter. Eric tried to escape his strong grip, failing and making Benjamin grip him tighter. Hector gave a look of both disgust and fear and mouthed 'Help me' to Olivia and Rachel. Both girls shook there heads while giggling.
"Boys, be nice! Or I'll shock you again." Ms. Mary threatened them. Eric rolled his eyes. "You know it's true.." He grumbled. Both Hector and Eric got shocked. "WHAT DID I DO?!" Hector piped up. "Be friends with Mouth-Off over there.." Mary gestured towards Eric. Hector growled a bit and nudged Eric. "Well, this is where we split! Come now girls!" Ms. Mary led the girls into a dimly lit hallway as Benjamin dragged the boys into a pitch black hallway. "I didn't sign up for this.." Eric growled.
Ms. Mary took the girls into a smaller room than the bigger one, which would be for later use. This room they were in now still had the same supplies, but it was not as vast. "Alright girls, in this room, you will learn to control your powers." Olivia tilted her head. "Wait, I thought you were gonna teach us how to USE our powers.." Rachel nodded. Ms. Mary chuckled again. "Before you learn to use your powers, you must learn how to control them." She smiled.
"Ok.. How are we gonna do that?" Rachel sighed. Ms. Mary gestured towards and punching bag. "With this girls!" "Huh?" Olivia said. "Watch." Ms. Mary said calmly. She backed away from the dummy and closed her eyes. She stood there for about a minute or so. Rachel opened her mouth to say something but closed it once a knife appeared near Ms. Mary. The girls mouths suddenly dropped open.
If you would've blinked, you would miss it. All of the sudden Ms. Mary was in a lunging position, her hand extended towards the punching bag, and there it was. The untouched knife was lodged directly into the center of the punching bag. "I-You-How?!" Rachel stuttered out. The knife faded away as Ms. Mary waved her hand. "I have been training for 20 years girls! I should be a pro at this!" She winked at them.
