Broken Promises

You handed her a ring, it was a pretty ring. It was a silver crown that represented her nickname "Princess". Because that's what you had. A princess. The ring was perfect. When you have it to her, you promised her. That was the whole point, was it not? You promised to be with her through any and everything. To never give up, even on her worst days.
You promised to support her. Even with the dumbest decisions she made. You'll think of a reason why it's a good one. You promised to help her with her problems.
You promised her you'd be there for her so she's not alone. She'd always have someone to go to. Whether it be to talk, cuddle, cry, complain, etc.
But you broke that promise and now the ring is broken. You took that ring back, just like the promise. You weren't with her through everything. It was a bad day and you gave up on her. You couldn't help her and now she can't come to you for anything.
Why you took that ring, it was bent up and broken just like the promise that you bent and broke.

I just wrote this off the top of my head, it isn't in my poem book. I was just sitting outside and decided to write this.
