PLAYING WITH THE RINGS ON HER FINGERS, Arietta began to block out Ben's lecture that he had already recited to her fifteen times before the VKs arrived. She chose instead to fall to the back of the group, so she would be able to walk slowly and take in the beautiful landscaping of the school.Arietta's attention was pulled away by a yelp. She turned her head to see Jay carrying Cruella's son in his arms. Arietta watched with wide eyes as the boy practically shook at the sight of King Adam's statue.
"Carlos, it's okay. My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man, to remind us that anything is possible," Ben explained to Carlos. Arietta smiled as she whispered the white-haired boy's name to herself, with a small smile on her lips.
Carlos jumped out of Jay's arm, trying to keep his cool. His eyes, darting to the brunette mermaid to see if she had noticed his embarrassing reaction. She sent him a small smile which he nervously sent back with a small wave.
"Does he shed much?" Mal joked, her green eyes sparkling with interest as she watched the statue.
Ben nodded seriously, "Yeah, my mom won't let him on the couch."
Mal gave him a puzzled look, turning to Arietta for the real answer. Arietta simple laughed, sending the fairy a wink, before standing next to Carlos, who was trying to change the statue back to its human form.
Arietta smiled as she clapped her hands together, and the statue changed back. Carlos jumped to look behind him and saw Arietta smiling at him, "It only works for the Royal families of Auradon."
Carlos nodded, completely at a loss for words, as he stared at the beautiful princess in front of him. She was fairly short considering the fact that he was a few inches taller than her, and had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. They were a pale almost like snow with just a light tint of a greenish-blue to give them color.
Carlos snapped out of his dreamy state as he watched Arietta place her hand in his and pull him along to join the rest of the group, "Come on. I don't want you to miss the tour."
Carlos practically went into a state of nirvana from her melodious voice. Everyone knew that Ariel's voice was pure heaven, but Carlos was beginning to think her daughters might be better. Areiita's voice was delicate when it hit Carlos's ears, almost like an angel's cry. He wanted to hear her talk more.
Arietta smiled as she walked into the main entrance. She loved this part of the academy because of the old woodsy smell that always came from it.
"So," Mal looked around the room, unimpressed "You guys have a lot of magic here at Auradon? Like, wands, and things like that?"
"Yeah, it exists, of course," Arietta said, smiling at Mal, "But, it's pretty much retired. Most of the students here are just ordinary mortals."
"Who happen to be kings and queens?" Mal rolled her eyes. Arietta let out a small laugh at her half-hearted joke.
