I woke up to the sound of the trains wheels scrapping the tracks. I groaned and sat up wondering how I got back to my house and into my bed. I looked down at my body seeing I was in a white t-shirt and pajama pants. I looked around the room before finally seeing my suit hanging on the back of my door. A piece of paper safety pinned to the orange fabric caught my eyes.

I slowly got out of bed and walked over to the door gently taking the note off of the suit.

Hey Arthur!

Hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of having a little fun last night. Don't worry though Ana will be just fine. Say hello to Harleen for me.

The sick smiley face was drawn over and over again on the small sheet. I felt anxiety growing inside me to the point I felt cold. I quickly ran into my bathroom and threw myself over the toilet hugging the bowl while my feet could hardly keep up with me. My stomach hurled up some of the alcohol from the knight before. The cold feeling soon left my body leaving me to clean my face. I groaned and as I pulled myself up by the counter I saw green staining the cheap porcelain counter top. I pulled myself up faster seeing light green staining the inside of the bowl before finally catching myself in the mirror.

That bastard...

I ran my hand through the emerald locks that now graced my head. Turning my head from side to side realizing what he meant in his note. I sighed and looked in the mirror before feeling the growing urge to smile. So I did.

And before long...

I laughed....

and he laughed...

We laughed.

I sat in the coffee shop waiting for Ana. I honestly didn't know if she would even show. I rolled up the sleeves to my white button up and sighed feeling something I hadn't felt ever in my life. I felt free of anxiety and of the impending solitude I was bound to live in. I felt free knowing I had him and he had me. Somehow knowing this dark side of me was there...it gave me comfort.

"Arthur your hair," My thoughts were broken by Ana pulling her chair out and sitting down quickly, "Look about what happened at the party I-"

"Listen sweetheart," I clicked my tongue before sitting up and lacing my fingers together on top of the table, "I know you felt like it was a huge mistake and you feel like a bad girlfriend, blah blah blah, but if I'm being honest you and I both know what was there."

Ana sat back in shock before licking her teeth laughing, "I don't know where this fucking asshole in you came from, but that isn't my friend. You aren't even acting like the Arthur I met anymore. You were in the party flirting with any bimbo who had a drink in her hand!"

"Does that include you?"

Burning. That was what I felt on my face. A feeling I wasn't sure why but it felt...

Good

I looked at Ana raising an eyebrow as she held her hand massaging her knuckles. Tears welled in her ocean eyes as she looked away from me. Reaching over the table I sighed and took her hand rubbing her joints with my thumb.

"Ana look at me," I spoke softly feeling her soft pale skin under my finger tips.

"What happened to you?" She whispered finally looking at me.

I took in how she looked as a tear slid down her cheek. It was beautiful. Her eyes once the perfect blue were now surrounded by red and lined with tears. As one grew heavy enough to slide down her porcelain cheek I felt the feeling swell inside me that I felt when she smacked me. It was an odd feeling, but it felt so euphoric.

"Funny story actually..." I laughed softly and looked down shaking my head, "Why don't we go back to the house huh? Mother misses you. She can make you some tea."

Ana looked around and closed her eyes letting another tear fall before finally nodding.
