Dear Diary, 10/24/2115
Arabella always had a dream, a dream to save everyone in need of saving and them some. All her life she has been told it was 'impossible to be a superhero'. For this large minded girl, that didn't stop her, if anything it only encouraged her to thrive in life. To be who she wanted to be and not what others wanted her to be.
Sadly that was over two hundred years ago, and although Arabella did succeed in life, she was the only one who attempted to save everyone until now. When I first heard the legend of Arabella I was amazed. Beyond amazed actually, I couldn't get it through my mind how someone would have so much courage, strength, bravery to save everyone; even though every step of the way she was being scrutinized.
Arabella is my great great great great great great grandmother, or something like that. My mother told me the story of Arabella to hopefully get the ideas of saving the world out of my head, she didn't know it further planted a seed into my mind.
Mother wants me to get a practical job like an accountant or something like that. I just can't picture my self sitting at a desk all day working with numbers. Just the thought of it makes me shiver, I absolutely despise math. To have a career in it would be like signing my death certificate. I don't understand how mother can love numbers so much, they're to practical.
So anyways as mother always says saving lives, is not practical and not behaving like a “good girl”. Whatever that means. Anyways, I read in this book or something that “good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught”. This simple saying has given me a brilliant idea. Mother can think I'm going to become an accountant all she wants, as long as she doesn't know what I’m really doing. I'm going to become a superhero much like superman. One person by day another by night. Doesn't that just sound marvelous?
I haven't worked out all the details yet but as soon as I do I’ll let you know. You are my only friend after all. Mother believes friends are impractical. Can you believe her? I say shes the impractical one. If she ever heard me say that though she'll probably have my head, she has a keen resemblance to the queen of hearts. I quite scary actually. She has the tiny head and everything, not to mention the stuffed rabbit she likes to carry around. She claims it's to scare away the neighbors, whatever that means.
Well I got to go, mother is yelling about something, and quite frankly I think she lost her mind. It was nice talking to you. I'll be back later and hopefully with more ideas of who my superhero will be. Note to self- make snazzy superhero name.
