Part 7

**Timeskip to a few weeks later**
Weeks had passed since Remus had been outed as gay and it was old news. Many students who had cared about Remus being gay either just decided to shut up about it or simply forgot. Although Remus was outed in weeks prior no one yet knew that not only was Sirius gay too ,but him and Remus had been dating for 2 ½ weeks. Shortly after admitting they were in love with each other Sirius and Remus had decided they would date in secret ,holding hands in empty corridors ,stealing kisses under James invisibility cloak, and whispering I love yous so quiet you'd have to be right next to them to hear.

One day Remus found himself reading alone under a tree on the grounds of Hogwarts ,which he did quite often actually, when none other than Severus Snape appeared.
"Well look who we have here if it isn't the fairy Remus Lupin!!"
Snape yelled in an extremely mocking tone. Lupin looked up at him trying as hard as he could not to blush or cry .
"Oh what is Thumbelina gonna cry?!?!"
(A/N For those of you who don't know Thumbelina is a tiny fairy, so Snape is basically calling Remus short and fairy like)
Snape yelled at Remus laughing ever so hard. The yelling had attracted a small crowd of students who also began to laugh and point at Remus calling him Thumbelina. Just as Snape was gonna taught Remus once again now with the energy of the crowd behind him James and Sirius walked up hearing everything. James said,
"What were you saying Snivellus?"
James asked in a cocky tone sensing a duel coming on.
Snape hadn't realised that Remus's friends had come to his aid.
"So what are you his boyfriend James? Finally given up on Lily have you?"
Snape asked in a satisfied tone.
James began to say something but Sirius spoke up first,
"No James isn't his boyfriend ,but I am and I don't you taunting him!"
With Sirius admitting he was Remus's boyfriend remus gave him a why in the h*ll did you do that face which was followed by many of the students crowd began to whisper among themselves about how Sirius Black was gay . Then it was James turn to speak up,
"No actually I haven't given up on Lily. But you are  gonna pay for picking on him because unlike you he has friends that do care about him."
James finished this sentence just as Lily began to walk up to James hearing the commotion from the castle doors and she asked not knowing what Snape had called Remus,
"What are you doing Potter?"
James looked down at her right in those bright green eyes and said in a voice loud enough for everyone in the crowd  to hear,
"Look Lily you know I love you ,but just because you for some reason stay friends with that sneak who's not only disrespectful to you ,but to Remus too I won't let him disrespect Remus without punishment so you can hate me if you want ,but I'm not going to let me loving you stop me from defending my friends."
Lily looked at James with a confused look on her face and asked,
"What did Severus even tell Remus?"
James shot her a look of disbelief and said in a rather salty tone,
"He called Remus a fairy and Thumbelina both are derogatory terms used to insult people who are gay."
Lily was one shocked James Potter knew what derogatory meant and two was disgusted with Severus she had always made excuses for calling her a mudblood but now she was done with him  and his bullying.With those words Lily turned to James kissed him so passionately that everything in James mind went blank and he was only snapped back into reality by Lily whispering in his ear,
"I've always loved you Potter I just wanted to see if you were willing to work for it."
With the confession and the kiss a bright red James turned to see Snape whom had his wand out after telling Remus he was Thumbelina again and Sirius screaming,
"No one calls my boyfriend Thumbelina!!"
Snape attempted to disarm James(he was the most afraid of James) ,but James being the excellent dueler he was he disarmed Snape leaving Sirius, Remus, James, and Lily to shoot a different hex at Snape leaving him hanging upside down with no wand and having his pants were thrown to the ground. Sirius, Remus, James, and Lily all laughed at him feeling rather accomplished with themselves after turning the crowd to there side after James and Lily had dared them to say another word to Remus or Sirius or any other gay students at Hogwarts for that matter. After proceeding to walk back to the castle Sirius and Remus holding hands unashamed of who was gonna stare or judge for they had realised that they had to be brave enough to show the world who they were if they ever wanted to be accepted by more than just their friends. A blushing James holding Lily's hand on the walk back to the castle more excited than ever to be living his dreams of having kissed and was now dating the girl he had loved since they were 13.
