Chapter 22 "Realization"

"This is my room."

After the maids finished cleaning their Young master's room, he led Y/n all the way up there.

The doors opened and she was greeted by the same scent she was used to. It was Kai's. He locked the door after they went in. His room was very calming and it was huge.

Her eyes roamed and by the looks on her face, Kai can tell that she was impressed. The alternating curtains were thick and thin, the floor was made of marbles with a mixture of other stones. The king-size bed was covered in three sheets and two medium-size pillows.

His closet was attached to the wall and the other side of his room's wall was filled with pictures. There was a balcony of stones and dried corals all framed and carved to form a single design.

"It's getting darker outside."  Kai muttered as he check his watch. He went to Y/n's side, giving her an asking look.

"Hey," He called her and she was startled a bit. "Do you like it here?"

She might not like the thought of sleeping in one room with me.

She slightly nodded, still amazed. "If you don't wanna sleep with me-- I.. I can sleep on the floor. Or uhm.. I can ask the maids to prepare one of the guests' rooms for you-"

"No.."

Definitely not the same Kai..

"I like it here.." she muttered, soft enough for him to hear. She walked towards the opened doors of the balcony with Kai following behind.

They were greeted by the calming breeze and stars slowly making their way towards their own places. The sun setting down fast in minutes.

"I like the aura of this place." She said. Kai came closer to her as they both watch the sun set. "I can see the whole you.. I don't know why or how."

Living together is what they have to do. Kai will graduate this year and they will only wait another year for Y/n to finish her studies and graduate, too. Then the date of the wedding will be announced worldwide.

For now, living in one roof is the only key for them to make another step higher for both surnames.

"Everytime you're around, I feel so tensed and hot." Kai said with a husky voice. Pulling her to look at his direction, and into his eyes. Both gazed at each other as they felt the sudden heat between them, growing even more hotter. "I don't even have the strength to stay away from you."

Those words felt like a million comets crashing onto her and her bones, making her weak and fell at anytime. The flying creatures roamed in her stomach as her cheeks turned red.

Kai brought his face closer to hers, making her stiff. He hugged her small body, tilting his head to the side. Both eyes half closed. The sun then finally disappeared.

"I.. I..uh.." Y/n stuttered, about to say something she just realized.

After all of those that had happened to us, why did I became so dense to my own thoughts?

Was it because I was too afraid? Too afraid to love again? Yes, maybe yes. But now? Shit.. I think I'm doomed. He's the only one I can see right now.

Now. Now that I see him as a man. Maybe, the new man of my dreams.

I want to start again. A new peaceful life with him. I want him. I want us. He has changed, I knew it. I saw it. He was too good to cheat on me now. He is..
