—Shannon's point of view—
My boyfriend Brad and I are having a day at the beach so we can relax and have a bit of fun. We are both just sitting down on our towels on the sand but I get bored and want to go in the water
"Bradley" I whine
"What is wrong?" He Asks
"Let's go for a swim," I say and then a look of sheer panic covers his face and he goes pale
"You'll be fine" I tell him and then I stand up and face the sea, I turn around to look at Bradley who is still not moving so I tug on his arms in attempt to stand him up but he refuses
"Please" I beg
"No" he tells me
"I'll just go myself then" I say with puppy dog eyes which I know he can't resists
"I'll come with you but I'm not going swimming" he tells me and I jump up in excitement
"Come on you" He says as I take his hands and pull him towards the sea, we climb up onto the rocks and he sits on the edge as I jump in and splash around and occasionally splash brad which makes him chuckle. I then swim around a bit and then I hear brad shout so I turn around and realise he's not on the rocks anymore, he's fallen off. Brads scared of water! I quickly dive under the water I see him kicking and screaming trying to get back up I then quickly grab him so I can pull him up to the top of the surface so he can breath, I push him up onto the land and I can't see his chest moving so I jump out of the water and pump his chest in attempt to give him CPR. Eventually he starts coughing and chocking on the air which makes me relived, he then stops coughing
"Babe are you okay?" I ask as I wipe his tears that formed in his eyes, he is still slightly shaking but he's calming down
"You never gave me the kiss of life" he says and I look at him and laugh at the fact that he was struggling to breath seconds before and now he's back to his old cheeky self
"I'm sorry" I say as I look down
"What for?" He Asks as he hooks his fingers under my chin and lifts it so I look up into his gorgeous eyes
"For making you come out to the water because if I left you there you would've been fine" i say trying to avoid looking into his eyes
"Babe look at me I wasn't careful when I was moving around so it was my fault but you saved me, I love you so much" he says as he gives me a peck on my lips. Later on Brad and I are changed and ready for the date he has planned, we walk hand in hand along the beach until we reach a cute little table that's got fairy lights around it and a candle on the table, Brad pulls the chair out for me and I thank him and then we eat our meal and have a few drinks. After a while brad and I are done eating and I see him fidgeting
"Babe what's wrong?" I ask him
"Eh" he says
"You can tell me" I tell him as I place my hand over his that's on the table. Brad stands up and takes my hands in his making me stand up to
"Shannon I love you so much you make my life so much better. You make me the happiest man on the planet and the years we have been together have been the best years of my entire life and I hope to have you in my future so I can spend the rest of my life with you and so I can love you endlessly so Shannon will you make me the happiest man in the universe and marry me?" He Asks as he gets down on one knee which makes tears form in my eyes and he is still holding one of my hands and his other hand is holding a gorgeous ring
"Yes of course I will I love you so much" I say and then he picks me up so I wrap my legs around his waist and I wrap my arms around his neck as we share a passionate kiss
"I love you so much Shannon" he mumbles against my lips and I couldn't have wished for a better ending to my day.
