Chapter 16 - Murder #1

Orlando, Florida

July 2, 2019

Roughly 8:00pm EST

As they make their way around the northern side of the 'out of order' Disguise Drop ride, they can now see, in bright blood red letters with a black glow backdrop, 'Masquerade Fast-querade'. A matching colored coaster track races, twisting and turning, looping and curving around in a double football field sized area of land.

"It looks like an epic-er version of Sheikra from Busch Gardens, you know!" Brayden remarks, looking up at the elevated drop hill over their head. "But also wayyyyyyyy quieter and I don't like it."

"COME ON!!" TT shouts out.

Ross looks at Taylor, who looks back at him, batting his eyelashes. "I thought you had a hold on him?"

"Oops," Taylor says, blushing bright red as he lifts his arm up to show that his hand is latched onto Ross'.

"UGH! EW! Let go of me!" Ross snaps, jerking his arm free and storming off to the ride, after TT.

"Rosser, wait!!" Taylor cries out and then runs after him.

TT skips through the queue for the ride, bouncing along the twisting and turning pathway that leads to the ride. He sings a song as he skips and bounces along:

"Roller coaster, roller coaster!

Going on the loopy-loop fun!

Roller coaster, roller coaster!

Gonna scream loudly and go 'weeeeee!'

Roller coaster, roller coaster!

Twisting, turning, shouting--

And dropping down at a 90 degree

Oh, what fun! Going on a roller coaster today!!"

"Look, I'm not going on that thing!" Colby states, firmly, halting in place. "It's too...too..."

"Manly?" Jonne questions.

"Tall and awesome?!" Ben Thomas adds on.

"Fun?" Kasperi suggests.

"No, no and no. It's too dangerous and I like my life, thank you," Colby snaps back. "If you're smart you won't go on that either. It looks like it's going to fall apart and crumble at any second."

"That's the thrill and the idea, Colbykins, you chicken!" Jonne teases, rubbing his hands together. "It's perfectly safe I'm sure!"

"I'm with Colby on this one," Ville remarks.

"Me too!" Vladdy exclaims.

Brendan sighs. "Ugh, fine, just wait here then. And anyone else not going on, hang here too. The rest, come on, let's go have some fun, even if there's no one here! Maybe we can at least have some fun and figure things out, like where exactly we are."

Vladdy, Ville and Colby are joined by Brayden, Brett, Yanni, Timo and Alex for obvious reasons. Obviously Brayden and Brett for being in the same boat as Ville and Vladdy, Alex, for not wanting to mess his hair up and Timo and Yanni for being purebred tigers.

"Timikins, you're gonna miss out on the fun!" Jonne scolds as they walk toward the empty queue for the ride.

"Look, I'd LOVE to go, but..." He spins his head around as though to point out his tail. "And..." He lifts his paws up. "Can't exactly grip the bar."

"Not to mention they'd both slip out for not being able to grasp that bar and I have no desire to have Yanni fall out to his death as I'd hope you would feel similar about Timo." Vladdy squats down and scratches Timo behind the ears, making him give a low rumble from his throat like a purr. "It's okay, Timiiii, he didn't mean it."
