Honestly lost track of the time frame in this story, so I'm just going to fast forward to the month of May — Beyoncé is now 5 months pregnant.

"Shawn Corey Carter." Hov's grandmother yelled out, turning around in her four-wheel rollator walker to look at her grandson.
"Yeah ma?" He answered with a laugh, hearing her call out his entire name, "I'm here."
Just last week she had fallen and hurt her hip so Hov spent most of his time sitting around with her when he wasn't too busy.
He wanted to hire a nurse to come and check on her on times that he couldn't, but Ms. Hattie denied the suggestion by saying she didn't want a strange white woman walking around her house.
"Here's her glass of water." Beyoncé said, coming out of the kitchen with the cold faucet water filled to the top — it was the only water Ms. Hattie would drink. If it wasn't out of the sink, she didn't care for it.
Ms. Hattie shot her eyes at Beyoncé as she tried giving her the water. Her shaky hands grabbed the glass but still kept her focus on Beyoncé.
"Rose, is that you?" Ms. Hattie questioned, "I see you finally went and got some meat on your bones."
Hov stared at Beyoncé and apologized through eye contact. He had formally introduced his grandmother to Beyoncé earlier in the week but because of the Alzheimer's, she didn't remember who she was.
"My bad," Hov said with a sigh, "That disease is taking over her."
"It's okay. I under—"
"Boy ain't no disease takin' over me!" Ms. Hattie yelled, "I'm fine just as I was yesterday, the day befo', and all the days befo' then."
Beyoncé chuckled and waddled to the sofa to finally get off her feet. Hov watched carefully, admiring how big her belly had gotten over the few months.
"You good?" He asked and she smiled with a nod.
"Just fine. My back hurts a little but I'm good."
"Who is you?" Ms. Hattie asked looking at Beyoncé. Beyoncé didn't find it offensive that Hov's grandmother didn't remember her. She understood the toll Alzheimer's carried.
"My name is Beyoncé, but you can call me Bey if that's better for you."
Ms. Hattie nodded, "Bey? I can remember that. Where you come from?"
Hov laughed and took a seat on the couch next to his girlfriend.
"Is she asking where I'm from?" Beyoncé whispered to Hov, "Or is she asking when I got here?"
He shrugged and spoke for her, "Beyoncé is my girl, mama. You met her a few days ago, remember?"
Ms. Hattie sipped her water, "I remember. Where is Rose? She suppose to be here."
Hov sucked his teeth at the mention of Rosario. She was all his grandmother talked about but he understood why. Rosario never stopped visiting his grandmother, and that's one thing he was thankful about. He knew it'd be hard trying to bring Beyoncé into his grandmother's life when she only knew Rosario.
"Rosario will visit you later, but I want you to get to know Beyoncé. She gonna be around more, understand? If you need something, you can call Beyoncé too."
