Chapter 19: Name: Charles, Ability: Power Rush, Level: 6.6

I begin to wake up after my nap I took when we arrived here at Ben's summer home. Well, it's now technically our home now, with everyone else also having to move. I get out of bed and get changed into shorts and a t-shirt. I open my door and the second I open it, I could smell something delicious coming from downstairs. I choose to have a room upstairs along with Collin, Amira, Miguel, Lynn, Aurora, then me. Gabriel, Alaska, Emma, and Carter were all downstairs. I begin to walk down and could see everyone eating omelets with French toast and Bacon. Everyone was smiling and even laughing even after everything that happened yesterday. Everyone but Gabriel was eating, I then look towards the kitchen area and could see Gabriel cooking. He then turns around with a plate of Bacon, he had an apron on as well with the words, Kiss the Cook! On it.

"Charles! Good morning, hope you slept well. I have breakfast all ready to go. So just sit down and enjoy your food." Said Gabriel, he seemed rather happy even after everything that happened. I grab a plate off the counter then take my seat. I pick up a fork and use it to pick up the food, I get an omelet and some bacon. I see some coffee and tea, but I go for the coffee and pour it into a mug. Once done with getting my coffee I take my fork and cut into the omelet, I then poke my fork into the omelet slice. I raise my fork and see melted cheese following the slice. My mouth was watering, I take a bite into the omelet. My mouth was hit by delicious flavors hitting my tastebuds. I could taste not only the cheese and egg but crumbs of bacon and some caramelized mushrooms and onions. There were also hints of red pepper and parsley, this was probably the best omelet I've ever had.

"Gabriel I never knew you could cook. Who taught you?" I said.

"Oh well, I am self-taught. My aunt would always come home late, so I had to learn how to cook to not only take care of myself. But my little cousin who I treated like my little brother." Gabriel said with a smile. The smile faded into a face of sadness. I wasn't the only one who noticed this.

"Gabriel. Are you ok?" Said Emma.

Gabriel snapped back into reality and smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine." Everyone continued to eat and chat for a little bit. Once everyone finished Gabriel took the dishes and began to clean them while everyone else could do whatever they wanted.

Alaska went to help Gabriel with dishes. Amira and Collin went out to the beach to walk along the shore. Aurora, Carter, and Miguel were in the living room and watching tv. Lynn and Emma were out on the balcony. Then me not knowing what to do. Gabriel and Alaska finished the dishes quickly.

"Thanks for the help Alaska." Said Gabriel.

"No problem, you cooked for everyone this is the least I could do." Said Alaska.

Those two seemed to always get along, although they have their disagreements sometimes that never affected anything between their friendship. I decide to go outside to relax in the warm sun. Lynn and Emma were also relaxing while Amira and Collin walked along the beach shore talking and exchanging kisses to one another. I sit down on a chair and watch the ocean's waves wash up on the shore of the beach. I could also hear the sound of the waves hitting against rocks. I felt calm, relaxed, peaceful. Gabriel, Alaska, and everyone else walk outside as well. Gabriel had empty bags with him.

"Everyone!" He said. "I'm going to get groceries if you want anything let me know now and I'll put it on the list." Only Lynn and Carter went up to ask for stuff. Carter asked for orange juice. Lynn wanted  Pocky's. Gabriel put them down on his list and was getting ready to leave, but Emma got up and walked over to him.

"Can I join you Gabriel?" Said Emma.

Gabriel smiled and nodded his head yes. They both put their shoes on and they both left. I turn my attention to everyone else. They seemed happy like almost nothing happened. This peaceful environment was amazing. I look back towards the ocean and smile. I could get used to this.
