🌠Personality🌠 Eli is well known for his reserved and quiet behavior. He always seems to be lost in his thoughts and doesn't attract to much attention, at least not positive one.
Even when he is around his half brother or the people he actually finds bearable, he seems aloof and as if he will never truly open up. All together, Eli is the type to stay aside and observe instead of meddle in any sort of social interaction.
Despite the fact that he almost always comes off as cold and uninviting, deep down, he is a romantic soul, dreaming of adventures and life full of laughter. He keeps his fantasies to himself, but they give him a place to go to when he is surrounded by judging stares and whispers.
He is deeply sentimental, his emotions getting the best of him more than he'd like it. If someone ever manages to break his cold act and lure out any emotion at all, they would all come pouring out.
He feels great injustice has been done to him and his mother, but decides to stay out of politics. Instead, he only dates to speak about it with his brother and mother, since he knows only the two of them understand.
Even though his father favors him, he despises his father at most times. Eli believes that when you hold such power, you can't always do what everyone likes, but you can do what you believe is right. And the hypocrisy of his father still bothers him.
Even though he has been treated poorly for his entire life, since he is the bastard son, Eli stopped giving it all much credit. Instead, he learned from the people around him, from everyone who treated him bad. He learned how not to act towards anyone at all, he learned the value of kindness and he tries to share it as much as he can, just to somehow fight against the ones who wronged him.
Romantically, he believes in true love, in soulmates and perfect romances. He never truly loved anyone like that yet, but he believes that once he falls in love, the feeling will be overwhelming.
He doesn't really think too much about the arranged marriage or his younger brother's part in it all. He is only worried about all the scheming and whispering around the court. He isn't quite fond of drama.
Speaking of drama, the queen and him never got along well. He tries his best to hide his resentment towards her behind poisonous smiles and nods, but as long as he doubts that the woman has any idea about removing his mother, he won't sleep tightly.
As for his mother, he always felt as if she was the strongest woman in the world. He admired her as a boy and still admires her to this very day since he can't even imagine how much she has been through. Eli keeps promising her that no matter what happens, he will do his best to assure a best possible life for his mother.
