"So I'll talk to you later?" Steve asked the blonde sitting in his passenger seat, messing with the hem of her shirt. Well, it was technically his shirt, but she was wearing it. Steve wouldn't say this out loud, but she looked super cute in it.
"Yeah, are you sure you're going to be okay?" Natasha asked, glancing over at him.
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine. I'll probably go help clean up that mess that Tommy made," Steve spoke with a frown. Natasha just looked at him, tilting her head slightly.
"You know, maybe you are a nice guy after all, Steve." She unbuckled, opening the car door. He watched as she got out, shutting the door behind him. Before he could drive away she poked her head back in. "Maybe you should let that be who everyone sees you as, the person you really are and not some popular douchebag."
Steve felt his face heat up as Natasha walked away, heading to the porch of Jonathan Byers house. She was very mad at him, and knew he was with Nancy but she wanted to figure out what the hell was going on with him, and she was going to get answers whether he wanted to talk or not.
The boy just drove away, going to do exactly what he told Natasha he was going to do, and as the blonde went to knock the door flung open to reveal Jim Hopper.
"Hi," Natasha breathed out.
"Excuse me," He went to move past her.
"Wait, where are you going?" She questioned.
"Um, does it matter?" Hopper sent her an awkward glance.
"I-I just know that my sister's been running along with Mike Wheeler lately, and a lot of crazy things have been happening so I didn't know if you knew what was going on or not..." She felt uncomfortable under his stare, "Jonathan won't tell me anything, but I do know some."
"So you know about the girl?" He asked, and she nodded. He took in a breath, looking into the yard before back at her. "Come with me."
She nodded and followed him, getting into his police truck. It didn't take long for him to start it up and drive away, clearly focused on doing something. "How much do you know?" He asked.
"I just know that Nancy and Jonathan know a lot, but won't tell me anything at all. So I hung out with my sister and Mike met this girl with a shaved head. She-she-" Natasha stopped, realizing just how crazy what she wanted to say sounded.
"She what?" He questioned.
"She had these weird powers. It sounds crazy, I-"
"I know." Hopper cut Natasha off.
"You do?" She asked, looking over at him, her nose scrunched slightly.
"Yep. But basically, there's a lot more to it than that. I should've had you stay with the Byers and Nancy Wheeler to have them kind of explain better, but I felt you could help round the kids up so we can get them to safety." Hopper explained as he pulled up. "Stay here, as soon as the kids and I come running, help them into the back bed of the truck."
