Chapter Five

Standing side by side we press the buttons hung around our necks. In one instant we are transported, only not to where we planned. Having shut my eyes from fright as i always do when i use the buttons the first thing i hear is John take in a breath. opening my eyes i see The Doctor standing beside the controls of the Tardis that we are now all inside. His coy smile helps me realize he was never in any danger at all.

"Doctor.....what are you doing?" I ask taking several steps forwards.

"I thought you might want to take a ride."

i stare at him in bewilderment.

"are you...you sent a distress signal to Torchwood just to get me back on the Tardis."

"Well it sounds so terrible when you say it like that." his hands fiddle with some controls.

"It is terrible!" my hands are flailing about in frustration.

"Ok ok sure i am a terrible time lord yes yes." he looks over at John who is still in a shocked state. "and how am I doing in the human world?"

"You were supposed to go away."

At that both The Doctor and i stare at John still seemingly frozen.

"Is that what you wanted?"

"It is what was best. I would get here and you would get anywhere else. This is my life you are messing with too here now, not just Rose's. We are together."

"I figured that would happen. you also changed your name didn't you. John Smith, how original."

"well there can't be two Doctors can there. Obviously you suit the name better than me. you know with that whole travel the universe alone thing happening."

the tension in the room is completely suffocating me.

"ok how about we take this down some." i say.

"take what down? was he insulting me?" The doctor tries his best innocent face.

"ok everyone just shut up." a woman with watch tower who came with us steps up and turns to the doctor.

"Doctor, you said in your distress call that you were in danger. was this false?"

"of course it was! if i was really in any danger why would i call humans to help me? it took you an earth month just to get here!"

"so what do you want?" i ask.

"i wanted to see you." his smile is nauseating and beautiful in the moment but i keep my reserve.

"ok, you see me." i shrug my shoulders at him.

"yes, i do."

"so can we go now?"

"sure sure you can go! but i would like to see more of you in the future. for old times sake?"

"well it's not like i can stop you now can i. goodbye Doctor."

i reach for my button and the rest do the same.

"see you again, Rose Tyler." he smiles again as my hand slams down on the button.

i knew in that instant keeping what we had done secret from John would be almost impossible. why did The Doctor have to be so pulling to me? will i ever escape him? considering John is basically him i guess not. i will forever be tied to The Doctor.

sorry this chapter is so short, but the next should be longer! i wanted to get something up quick since it has been forever hasn't it.

so what is The Doctor playing at? does he want to break up Rose and John or does he simply want them to be his companions?
