I slowly made my way up the steps, signing in with a secretary mage. After being given a basic explanation of how the summoning chamber worked, I was given my chamber key. It would unlock my given chamber but only to get in, I would be locked in the room until sun down. As the door swung shut behind me, I let out a shakey breath, kneeling down on a cushion to begin preparing myself. I pulled my warm sweater off, leaving myself in a pale blue sports bra. I also changed into a pair of snug shorts, needing as much bare skin as possible. As I began painting the traditional summoning marks on myself, I thought about the stone hanging from my neck. It was my soul mate stone, but it couldn't be real. It was electric blue, no eyes were naturally that color, so I had resigned myself to being alone, it was better then getting my hopes up. Taking another deep breath, I place my hands at the edge of a large carved summoning circle, beginning to channel my magic into the symbols. The center exploded with light, it flickering and dimming only slightly. "Please...my familiar, come through the light to me." I called out, watching the light suddenly grow in brightness. I heard muffled yelling before there was a great explosion of light before a groan of almost pain. The light quickly flickered out, causing me to blink to try to adjust to the sudden dimness. Slowly I stumbled to my feet, feeling a little drained. "Hello?" The figure groaned again, slowly sitting up before looking around rapidly. "Where am I? Pap? Where are you?" A deep voice cried out, making me stop for the moment. Suddenly a hooded head turned to see me, one glowing blue eye widening. "What did you do to Pap? Where is my brother?!" he threw a bone hand up and his eye suddenly seemed to burn with blue fire. I found myself thrown through the air, suddenly pinned against the wall, a dark blue heart in front of me.
