Sans looked away sheepishly, "Guess she 'goat' us there, Sweetheart." My mother covered her mouth, giggling. "My child, you found yourself a 'funny bone', didn't you?" I grinned, knowing my mother already liked Sans. Sans looked extremely pleased, his grin widening. My mother then turned back to me, motitoning for me to pull out my soul for her to look at more closely. As the ruby heart popped out of my chest, I noticed a faint cyan colored upside down heart in the center of my soul. As the heart shaped soul slowly spun in a circle, I noticed what looked like skeleton finger shaped 'bruises' wrapped around the edges. "That's not too bad, a piece of butterscotch-cinnimon pie and your HP will be back to 100%. I'll go make some tea, you both can wait in the living room." She murmured, kissing tge top of my head before stepping into the kitchen. I pulled my soul back into my chest and turned to look at Sans. His eyelights were completely dark, looking horrified. "Sweetheart I -" I cut him off, placing a finger over his teeth. "Sans, you already apologized and didn't mean to hurt me. Besides, you barely took down any of my HP, so stop beating yourself up. Ok?" His eyelights very slowly flickered back to light, him slowly pulling me into his arms, as if he was still afraid to hurt me. My mother poked her head out of the kitchen, smiling as she clears her throat. "The tea is done, we should drink it while its hot."
