my endgame : stony

5: swinging around

"hey dad?"

"hey maria?"

maria walks into tony's room while playing with her fingers nervously,
"can i hangout with yelena?"

tony sits up in his bed,
"of course, just don't stay out too late"

"thanks dad!"

maria rushes from tony's room down to the lab and takes her hand and feet boosters with her. she arrives at the park waiting for yelena.

"maria!" yelena runs up to maria and hugs her

"yelena, i'm so glad that we get to hang out"

maria and yelena walk around central park, maria buys yelena and herself an ice cream. they go to sit on a bench. yelenas hand falls on top of maria's hand and she blushes,

"yelena..."

"hmmm" yelena hums ad she turns her head towards maria

"wanna go for a fly?"

maria sees yelenas eyes go wide after her question, she lets her head fall but yelena picks it up with her little laugh, maria looks at maria reach into her backpack and pulls out two things. yelena straps the two things on each wrist.

"let's go before anyone else sees us" yelena thwips a web to a light post and pulls herself upwards

maria is in awe and she puts her gauntlets on and flys up towards yelena. maria is now flying all over the city along side yelena who swings from building to building. yelena lands on a building rooftop, maria lands next to her and her suit retracts.

"where did you learn to swing?"

yelena laughs a little,
"from peter"

she goes to sit on the ledge of the building, maria walks over to ledge but doesn't sit down. they both look into the city and take in the beauty of the lights. yelena pulls maria down by the arm and makes her sit next to her.

"are you like.. a spider person?"

"well... technically yes but i don't like to think about it like that" she giggles

maria looks at yelenas dirty blonde hair sway in the wind and the lights reflect in her almost grey eyes,

"...yelena i-"
"i really like you"

yelenas doesn't move a muscle, she continues to look into the city,
"it's crazy to be able to swing around the city but with no one to share it with" she sighs

maria looks down at her hands and starts to twiddle with them again, her heart sinks to the bottom of her chest. she stops as yelena places her hand over hers, maria looks up only to be met with yelenas soft lips. yelena pulls away

"..." maria sits there in shock with rose cheeks

not a second later, yelena tosses herself over the ledge, maria tried to grab her before she falls but fails. she puts on her feet boosters and follows yelena. before maria could catch her, yelena thwips a web to a building, pulling her towards it. maria follows yelena.

maria gets home, she sneaks into her bedroom and places her bag and suit on the table. she collapses on her bed with a big smile.

tony peeps into her room from the crack of the door and smiles.
