"Boss, I found this on the ground after she ran away. I think it fell off of her," the guard said.
"What is it?" Genvi replied, angered.
"It looks like a flash, boss."
Genvi looked at the flash in his hand. "It is a flash you idiot," he yelled, grabbing it from him.
He hummed and asked, "Where did you get it?"
"She dropped it while she was running."
'Iris is planning to give all the secrets away. I'd recognise this flash anywhere. The Golden symbol is printed on the top. I'm sure this flash has something that might destroy all my plans. It can't be accessed through any other device other than the one it was used on. I won't be able to get the data on it.' Genvi thought.
"Good work bringing it to me," he said, smirking. Then he dropped it on his table. "I'm going to meet my dear wife and she's gonna tell me exactly what's going on."
In the room where Iris was held, Genvi came in and stared at her with no emotion on his face. Only they knew the truth and he wanted to keep it that way forever.
"Way to ruin everything Iris. I was gonna make you queen once it was all over," he said.
"I was going to be one without your help."
"You've never spoken back to me like that before. Are you happy because you think your plan has worked? Maybe you don't know that I'm with that flash now." A smirk played on his lips. Iris' eyes widened as she looked at him with fright.
"What? There was something important in the flash? Why don't you tell me what it was?"
"Why won't you leave my children alone-" Before she could continue, he interrupted.
"You mean our children."
"They will never be yours. Ever!" She protested and that made him laugh.
"My dear Iris," he said coming towards her, kneeling at the side of the bed. Then his tone changed.
"What was in the flash? There's no use hiding it." He furiously grabbed her chin. Iris kept her mouth shut as tears rolled down her face.
He let go of her and stood up. Then he said, "You always want it the hard way, Iris. That's one thing I like and hate about you. No one stresses me and gives me a challenge the way you do. We'll speak later, then. I'll force you to tell me everything." He walked out of the room, banging the door shut.
Meanwhile, in the woods, Alexis woke up and for some seconds she forgot she ran away from the devil. Her face had fresh tears imprinted on it. She was sure she cried even as she slept.
As she slowly rolled out of the bed, she started to perceive something extremely tantalizing. Camille was cooking something because she could smell meat. She stood up, went into the bathroom on the other side of the room and did the necessary.
Then she came into the kitchen and met Camille setting steak on the table with other varieties of food.
"How did you sleep?" She asked.
