READ: Ok so here is where things are kinda complicated. Ive edited the story so that Avery is 16 and in her Junior year. I de-complicated the part with Chase: he is just a Senior now. Thank you for cooperating with my technical difficulties.
Sorry, here we go!

Once safely in the dorm, I giddily run up to my room, taking the stairs two at a time. Bursting into my room, I rush to the closet without even realizing the extra body on the bed, "I think that's the fastest I've ever seen anyone move around here." I turn around, blushing slightly, but not being able to wipe the stupid grin off my face. Charlie is lying on her bed, in her sweatpants and a loose top, clearly ready for the weekend. She chuckles, "Goodness gracious, a smile too. What has gotten you all smitten?"
I droop my head, knowing my cheeks are a fiery red by now. "Nothing" I reply sheepishly.

She flashes me a knowing smile, "It's that Aussie, isn't it?". I just continue on inspecting my shoes. I should probably clea-
I'm cut off by screeching, "I knew it! Where is he taking you? Wait, what are you going to wear? When is he com-",
I raise my hands to stop her rant, "I have no idea, but he's coming at six."
She sweeps my body head to toe, seemingly lost in thought.

Finally, scratching her imaginary beard, "We have work to do." She sits there waiting for a response, probably scared I'll run out on her.
After what feels like hours, I shrug in surrender "Fine."

Five outfits, three pairs of shoes and a whole lot of hair tugging later, Charlie deemed me presentable.

As a looked myself over in the floor length mirror, I widened my eyes in surprise. It was the first time I had actually cared what I looked like, and it felt good. We had settled on a pair of dark wash high-waisted shorts, that I had made sure to wear my tights with because of the cold. She begrudgingly obliged but insisted on the practically skin tight cropped sweater.
It was moments like these that I went all conservative, wanting to just hole up in an oversized hoodie.
She completed her makeover with a pair of heeled black booties. Booties, I silently giggle to myself, but suppress it as I see Charlie giving me the look.
Standing up, I groan, "How am I supposed to even walk in these?"
She just shakes her head in disappointment, "You're an independent girl, you'll figure it out." By this time I'm not even paying attention anymore. My attention is diverted to my phone.

Chase: C'mon woman, the adventure awaits.

I hurriedly text back.

Avery: Impatient much?

I shout to Charlie who is currently in the bathroom cleaning up her mess of a makeup station, "I'm leaving!"

She comes out swatting her hands, "Ahh, I'm right here, no need to shout." I just shrug in reply for head to the door, "Don't wait up" I murmur.
"Alright, alright, have fun."
She turns around to presumably continue her organizing.

Right before I leave, I snatch my high-tops that are conveniently crumpled by the door. I jump a little when I feel a slight buzz from by back pocket.

Chase: Yeah. Very impatient.

I inwardly laugh. Why did he have to have such an effect on me? It was as if the devil had taken away all my judgement and deteriorated my brain tissue. The thought of him, waiting for me, infiltrated my mind before I rushed out into the night.

I stand idly by the door a few moments before a husky voice comes out through the darkness."But it was worth the wait."
Sensing my face beginning to flush,I scurry out if the light of the portico, over to the devil himself. Punching him on the shoulder, I nervously laugh "God was that cheesy."
