"Suit up!" six pack yells into the barracks, "we've got an assignment."

If you're wondering why we call him six pack, it's not because he s ripped (which he is) but the fact that he has six kids back home.

"Seriously, it's 3 in the morning!" Private smarty pants blurts out. pretty self explanatory, he's a human dictionary

"We just got back from an assignment!" lucky pouts. Lucky got his nickname because he's anything but.

"That's just your luck." boogie man laughs.

If you want to know the rest, I'm ice, Joseph's beans, doc is doc oc, and Megan is shorty or combat barbie. I put Loki in his combat vest and head out to the air strip. Apparently there has been hostile movement spotted on an island off the coast of Middle East, so we gotta jump out of a C-17 and parachute down to the island. These guys want to go global, we can't let that happen.

"Bet you 10 bucks this plane gets shot," lucky says running up to me.

"I wouldn't put my money on that." I say.

He turns around and walks into the C-17.

"Eager to get killed, I see." I joke

He chuckles and gives me a thumbs up without turning around.

I walk into the plane and sit down, thinking about the mission ahead. 30 minutes later we're two minutes from the drop zone. We line up at the back of the plane. I'm first man up, then Megan then beans, smarty pants, lucky, six pack and LT bringing up the rear.

30 seconds" the intercom blares

I laugh as I remember the first time I ever floated up in the sky. Given, it wasn't at 30,000 ft but it was still fun. I have a picture of Loki floating up in the air above one of those big practice fans, with the wind pulling his face up.

"15 seconds"

"Hey lucky see you on the other side, hopefully!" I laugh

I take out the sling that I use to keep Loki close to me when we're free falling so he doesn't just float away with the wind. I pick Loki up and fit him into the sling, he looks like a big baby.

"Mark!"

I throw my self into the air without thinking. I wrestle with the air around me until I'm finally facing upward. Megan's already out and I can see beans just coming out of the plane. there's three seconds of calm almost like everything was fine. It wasn't.

BAABOOOM!!!

A rocket streaks right into farthest of the two engines on the left side.

BAABOOOM!!!

Another rocket just barely hits the cargo bay door. At this point the pilot knows that the damage is too severe, and the plane won't make it back if he doesn't turn around now. it's a miracle that things still flying. I guess I owe lucky ten bucks.
