{Maya's POV}

I've been in Farkle's hospital room for two weeks now. I've been staying there at night to take care of him and coming straight to his room to take care of him. I've missed two weeks of volunteering at the orphanage but I know they understand. I've been writing him notes of my feelings everyday whenever I see him. Hoping he can read them when he wakes up. I was honestly willing to stay there for years just to see the day he wakes up.

Riley, Lucas, Mr. Minkus, and Mrs. Minkus were at the front clerk checking up and telling them about Farkle's conditions but I stayed in his room because I don't want to leave him. I'm afraid he'll be taken away and I'll never see him ever again. I was holding onto his hands when I see his index finger move a very little bit.

"A-ah." I heard Farkle mumble, he's waking up!

I ran outside the room to see them walking back and I ran up to them.

"GUYS! FARKLE'S WAKING UP!" I grabbed Riley's hands full of hope

"WHAT?! Maya, are you lying to us?!" Mrs. Minkus asked

"NOPE! I saw his index finger move a little and he was trying to say something!" I started jumping up and down a little

"OH MY GOD! THANK YOU MAYA!" Lucas went to hug me

"But before you guys say anything to him. I want you guys to promise me one thing." I said stopping them from going in

"Anything Peaches." Riley smiled

"Can you please not tell him I took care of him day and night while he was in a coma." I asked heartbroken and with tears in my eyes

"What?! Why?!" Mrs. Minkus asked shocked

"He wants me to give up on him. And he doesn't like me at all. I don't want the first thing he hears when he wakes up from his coma to be 'The person you hate most took care of you'." I told them

"What?! No! I'm sorry but I'm not doing that. You love him so much Maya! He should know you still care about him and love him." Riley crossed her arms

"But he doesn't love me back. I need him to be happy and I'm willing to be like this for him. Please." I begged

"Okay." Lucas, Mr and Mrs. Minkus agreed even though I could hear disagreement in their voice

"Riley?" I asked

"No! Maya! You love him and I know he loves you. He made a huge mistake but I know you two still love each other. Two people who love each other shouldn't be apart!" Riley told me

"Please." I cried

"Okay! Fine!" Riley said annoyed and upset

"Thank you. Now go in. He needs to be surrounded by the people who love him and can actually give him happiness." I told them and they all went in

"FARKLE!" I heard them scream of happiness

I really wished I could be in the room with them. Hugging him and smiling. I slowly peek into the room. They were all smiling and Riley was in the middle of hugging Farkle. Farkle's smile was really big which made me smile. Riley saw me and gave me an apologetic look and I gave her a warm smile trying to tell her I'm okay. But she knew I wasn't. I think she was about to tell Farkle the truth but my eyes widened begging that she won't say anything.

"Farkle. I need to go out for a second." Riley said and walked out to me

"Maya! Go inside!" Riley yelled at me

"I can't! He hates me. He doesn't need me in his life. He needs people who loves him and can give him happiness in his life. I can't give him anything, not love, not happiness, not anything. This is for the best. Now go back in!" I said and pushed her into the room
