I woke up alone on the balcony. At first I was confused, but then everything came back to me. That guy was out here when I fell asleep. I didn't fall asleep with a blanket either. I specifically remember shivering. I'm sure that the asshole wouldn't get me a blanket. June probably did.

I stood up and stretched. My back was killing me. I groaned when I remembered that i also have school today. I hate starting new schools.

I dragged my feet inside and took a shower. I found a robe, so I put it on.

I opened my closet and saw all new clothes. I have to remember to thank June. Foster parents usually don't buy their foster kids whole new wardrobes. I went through all of the clothes until I found an outfit that I was satisfied with. It was a simple outfit with a light gray shirt, dark jeans, a dark gray sweater, and a scarf that matched my jeans. I slipped my feet into comfortable gray boots and found some silver bangles in a jewelry box. On the back of the door, there were loads of purses. I picked out one that went nicely with my outfit and left the closet. June went way overboard. I felt bad that she went through so much trouble and I don't even care what I wear half of the time. I would have been satisfied wearing the clothes that I own, but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe I should ask her to return some of the clothes.

I left my naturally wavy hair down.

I didn't look half bad. I normally don't take so long to get ready, but I was stalling. I really didn't want to go downstairs. It was always so uncomfortable at my foster homes. I'm not their kid. I can never feel really at home.

After I lightly applied some makeup, I couldn't stall any longer. You can tell that I really don't want to leave my room because I really use makeup besides some mascara and lip balm.

I walked downstairs slowly.

Everyone was in the kitchen. Mr. Wesley was in his cop uniform while June was wearing a peach pants suit. I don't remember her telling me what she does for a living. All of the boys were dressed casually. June was the first to notice me.

"Hello, Ivory. Did you have a nice night sleep?" She asked me.

I saw the asshole smirk out of the corner of my eye. I nodded at June. "Yes."

"Great. We have Lucky Charms, Cheerios, Special K, and Fruity Pebbles. Pick any that you want."

"Um, Fruity Pebbles." She handed me the box. The tattooed ginger, I think his name was Blake, handed me a bowl. I'm not going to lie. I was surprised. Yesterday, he acted like I didn't exist.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"No problem." He answered.

I was beyond confused, but I let it go. The jock looking guy, Ethan, passed me the milk. "Thanks." I mumbled to him the same way that I did to Blake.

"Sure." He answered and picked up his spoon to scoop his cereal into his mouth. I poured my breakfast and started eating. Elliot walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning, Ivory." He smiled at me.

"Morning." I gave him a half smile back.

"Oooh, someone's got a little crush." Ethan cooed at Elliot.

Elliot's face went bright red. I decided to save him. "He just said 'Good Morning'. If that means he has a crush on me, then since you passed me the milk, you must be in love with me." I rolled my eyes at him.

Elliot laughed and Ethan rolled his eyes.

"How are we getting to school?" I changed the subject.

Blake was the one who answered. "Usually we take two cars. I drive one and Lucian drives the other, but Lucian's is in the shop, so we're all going on the bus. We like to stick together."
