"It's like a doorway," Mind explains.
"Lynn can make them for me, so far only to places she's been before.
And I can walk through them. Like a portal."
Lynn closes her eyes and raises both hands.
After a second, a glowing disc appears beside Mind, roughly the size of his body.
"You can teleport him," Flare breathes, staring at Lynn in wonder.
"But only him," the other girl says, slightly dejectedly. "Not myself or anyone else."
She lets the portal fade away.
"It's not as convenient as we first assumed. We can't go through the doorways together, and most of the time I want her to come with me."
Mind is reaching for Lynn's hand again.
"It's not teleportation in its optimal convenience like we'd imagine."
"Still," Flare is still reeling, "teleportation is one of the most sought after powers..."
"It's incomplete teleportation. It requires both of us. I need her to make the portal and she needs me to send anything through.
But it's been amazing to work with," Mind answers, his eyes crinkling.
"It's like you're a pair, to complete the power..." Flare says.
