Chapter 11

"Alright, both of you go get a shower quickly. My mom is most likely already waiting for us!"

"You need one too," says my girlfriend as she playfully and loudly smells the air near me

"Yeah probably. Can I use the one in your room?"

"Would be rude of me to say no."

"Alright, I'll be back." I go upstairs and get in the shower. Instantly, all the soreness of my muscles and my exhaustion vanish as the water hit me. As I get out, however, my cellphone starts to ring Nico's favorite black metal song.

"Hey, Nico, what's up?"

"I got the results"

"What? Already? But you pick them up this morning."

"Yeah well, the lab. tech. is a son of Asclépios and somehow managed to speed up the process."

"Nice! So, what do they say?"

"I'll give them to you in person?"

"What? Why?"

"Where can we meet?"

"Huh, well, I'm headed to my mom's with Annabeth and the kids"

"Okay, I can wait for tomo-"

"No, I want to know as soon as possible. Come there in like 2 hours"

"Are you sure?"

"Nico... You're starting to worry me"

"Yeah well, see you later Percy"

"Yeah... later"

I hang up and quickly get dress. As I go downstairs, I see Scott and Rylei jumping around as the second is running around with the cap of the former. Not that I'm surprised to see my daughter full of energy after a shower, water seemingly having the same effect on her than me but Scott was a mystery. As far as I know, Athena's kids and legacies can't recharge magically, even with books

"Everything's alright?" asks the mother of the mystery 

"Yeah, it's just amazing how much those kids have stamina."

"We both know the most plausible reason"

"I hope they don't get as much excitement then we did in our teenage years"

"Come on, don't think about that. Let's go on a positive point about those teenage years"

"My mother?"

"And her blues cookies you might not get to eat" she adds teasingly before pecking my cheek

"You're cruel!"

"I know right!" says Scott who is apparently behind us with my black-haired daughter.

"What did you say, young man?" playfully threaten Annabeth

"Nothing! Absolutely nothing!"

"Coward," comments Rylei

"Shut up seaweed-brain!"

"You first owl-face!"

"Blobfish"

"Ostrich"

"Holothurie!"

"Dodo!"

"Okay, that's enough!" I say, shutting them up

"But-"

"No 'but's. In the car, both of you." Annabeth cut them

"Which one?" they say at the same time "Hey! Stop! Errr... Olympus! Stupid!"

"Mine. We're going in my car. Now get your asses in the back seats this instant"

"Yes sir!" they both salute and heads out

"I'll kill her..."

"Rylei? Why?"

"She knows I hate being saluted and now Scott's doing it too." I sigh, making her laugh before she heads out shaking her head. I follow suit and calls the elevator as she locks the door

Annabeth's POV

"Are we there yet?" asks Rylei

"No..." answer her father

"And now" she asks 10 seconds later

"Not yet"

"A-"

"Don't you dare ask again young lady" he cut off

"But I hate long car rides"

"I know, but we can't always ride on horseback"

"That's lame. Horses are way better companions than these piles of metal"

"You love horses?"

"Yes, I don't know why but it's almost as if I understand what they're thinking"

Percy and I share a look of understanding but decide individually to keep quiet on the apparently manifesting powers and attribute of Poseidon legacy.

"I don't know, cars are such an amazing piece of differents types of engineering that I can't completely agree with you"

"You do know that horses did the job cars are doing today and even more during ages? And they can handle way rougher terrains than machines"

"Yeah but they can be hard-headed and difficult to handle"

"They only hesitate when their rider tell them to do something stupid"

"At least we won't have to worry about them getting along!" I say to Percy

"I worry they'll start smacking each other anytime now"

"Good thing we're almost there then"

"You always amaze me"

"How so?"

"You were a walking encyclopedia and now you also double as a GPS"

My fist come on his shoulder the next second, followed by his "ouch"

"Be glad I didn't use an encyclopedia"

"I'm supposed to be the sassy one"

"It seems that I was unfortunately affected"

"Here we are!" exclaims Scott from his seat as we reach the end of the street. Sally's house, in all it's glory, present itself.

"Wow" says both my boyfriend and his daughter.
