-=-Kasai POV-=-
I woke up after falling asleep, I guess I was more tired than I thought.I got out of bed and I stretched my arms out like usual, putting my shoes on and walked out of the door to go to the dining hall, something that was becoming a habit for me.
I stepped into the kitchen and saw that the usual people who cooked the food were not here, so I naturally took over the kitchen. There wasn't much in stock like basically every day that I've been here, but there was a ton of rice, so five minutes later I'm making fried rice. While I was chopping some vegetables to put in the rice, my Cooking Skill went up once which put a smile on my face as I started pouring the chopped up vegetables into the pan that was frying the rice. I mixed the rice and the vegetables up into a savory blend before leaving it to fry for a short bit. Once the fried rice was done, I let it cool down while I got the dishes ready.
After placing the fried rice in dishes and placing said dishes on the counter I walked out and grabbed my dish before taking a seat at my table. I started to eat the fried rice, it was pretty good for a novice cook like myself. After eating I stood up, deposited of my dish, and went outside to train some more before I have to leave to go to the academy.
I continued my routine of punching the tree until my knuckles bleed which looking upon it now may not have been such a great idea. I used Power Strike a few times and managed to level it up, while also managing to increase my Strength by one. Before I could continue training I was interrupted by the familiar sound of a screen popping into existence.
QUEST CREATED: "Every Single Anime" "Don't be a cliche Anime Protagonist, get to school on time!" Rewards: 15 EXP. Failure: Possibly get kicked out of the academy. [Y]/[N]
I accepted the quest and ran out of the orphanage yard, I ran through the village, passing by multiple stores, even the Yamanaka Flower Shop. Luckily for me, the academy was not too far from the orphanage, so after traversing over some obstacles like cats, I reached the academy. I was then rewarded with a single increase to Dexterity.
QUEST COMPLETE: "Every Single Anime" "Don't be a cliche Anime Protagonist, get to school on time!" REWARDS: 15 EXP. COMPLETED
I closed the screen but a new one replaced it notifying me that I had leveled up. I stepped into the academy for the first time, it had wooden floors that I assumed was oak and gray walls which had some wood decorating it in the form of panels. I remembered back to when I was told I could be in the Academy and that the classroom I was supposed to be in was on the second floor.
I walked up the last few steps, a side note that I feel is very important is: I hate stairs with a burning passion. Anyway, I opened the door to the classroom and saw that nearly half of the seats were taken. When I stepped into the classroom, I noticed the teacher was in front of the class reading something, then he told me to find a seat.
I walked up to the few steps and got a seat in the back because I'm edgy like that... Okay, I actually sat around the middle of the seating area. I looked around at my classmates before focusing on the teacher who stood in front of the class. As the teacher was about to start speaking, a student dashed into the class, panting from most likely those darn stairs.
It was a kid around my age, he had spiky bright blonde hair, a jacket with a high collar that was colored black, green, and white. He had pinkish red wrist bands and black pants where the legs cut off at about the middle of his shins, he had some dark reddish gray sandals and a green headband wrapped around his forehead.

(Kyu: We don't own this picture, Slash just liked it and decided, "What could go wrong?" Sooo... If this chapter gets taken down, blame Slash.
Slash: Gotta throw me under the bus like that ;-; Credit to PumiiH on deviantart for this picture though.)
He sighed and walked up the stairs, he said something about destroying all stairs in the entire world or something... I agree with that statement. He took a seat at the next set of tables to my right.
I turned my attention back to the teacher who had just started speaking, he was first welcoming us, then he started teaching us about the "Shinobi Rules". There were rules such as "A shinobi must always put the mission first", "A shinobi must never show their tears", and "A shinobi must never show any weakness", followed by several more rules... I lost count of how many there were, but in short: They all made me depressed. The purpose of these rules were to "Kill a shinobi's emotions", so at some point I just blocked out what the teacher was saying... Yeah I know that probably wouldn't be a smart thing to do on the first day but I was getting depressed okay!?
So while I was blocking out the depressing rules that the teacher was spouting, I decided to level up my Observe skill, so I used Observe on several objects and people.
Name: Shindan Nara HP: 105/105 LVL: 8 Age: 8
Alignment: Leaf, Nara Clan Rank: Academy Student
Name: Hachi Inuzuka HP: 125/125 LVL: 10 Age: 8
Alignment: Leaf, Inuzuka Clan Rank: Academy Student
Name: Jishan Yamanaka HP: 120/120 LVL: 9 Age: 8

Wow, after observing almost everyone in the room I came to a conclusion, I'm probably the weakest one here... That kind of just made me even more depressed...
I decided to observe the teacher, it would be good to see how strong the person who was teaching us is.
Wow... He's strong... But I couldn't see his level, I guess he's such a higher level than me that I just can't see it yet. But in other news, my Observe leveled up.
Observe has leveled up! You may now see the titles that people own as well as their occupation.
I decided to use Observe on the kid who was late... And what I saw... To say the least, it shocked me.
