Jimin sniffled, reaching up. His hands tangled behind Yoongi's head, and the healer let out a startled gasp, reaching out to steady himself.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Jimin took a shaky breath, opening his eyes. The light flicked on; Yoongi leaned over him, one hand pressed into the pillow. Concern was written all over the healer's face.
"Did something seize up?" he asked. "Does your throat hurt? What do you need me to do?"
"S-stay..." Jimin mumbled, letting his arms fall over his eyes. "I just... need... stay..."
"Does it hurt anywhere?"
Jimin laughed bitterly, closing his eyes. "Everything hurts."
"Do you want me to help?"
"I just want you here," Jimin said.
There was a pause. Then Yoongi sighed. "Okay. If it'll help."
"Doesn't have to," Jimin said. "Someone just--I just need someone to be there."
Yoongi lay down beside him, resting a hand over his heart. "Is that why you're so scared?" he asked gently.
Jimin let out a breath, shifting his hands behind his head. "I don't know. I can't make sense of anyone anymore..."
"You're not supposed to make sense of human beings," Yoongi said. "We just... make do with what we can, I guess."
"Even when it hurts like this?"
Yoongi slipped his hands behind Jimin's head, sending warmth beneath his skin. Jimin sighed in relief, letting the healer warm his entire body.
"Yeah," Yoongi said, "especially then."
"Thank you," Jimin whispered.
"Anytime," Yoongi replied.
