*Steps inside* Hey everybody, I'm so sorry I'm late. Got caught up in my bag, but I'm here now. What I miss?

F O R T Y - S E V E N

          Sitting in the middle of her bedroom floor, Cali placed everything that belonged to her and Ahmad in a big box she had placed in front of her. This was her way of taking the first step in accepting what has happened and moving on. She started doing this the minute Ahmad came and got the kids, which was almost five hours ago and it was still hard for her to basically pack up a part of her life that she never wanted to end.

Coming across all their photos they took over the years of them being together, tears threatened to fall at her eyelids as she thought back on those memories.

Lifting up the picture they took together at Disney World, she smiled thinking back to when he cussed at that lady for laughing at her when she was eating that turkey leg and of course thought of the day where he later proposed to her.

The next picture was the photo they took right after he proposed, his smile was as big as the sun in this picture and Cali only wished they could go back to that moment and start all the way over again.

Placing each of the pictures in the box, she sighed before wiping her tears away and grabbing her glass of wine.

Holding up her wedding dress that was laying beside her, she examined it with more tears in her eyes before holding it close to her still smelling the scent of that perfect day as if it was just yesterday.

Folding the dress up neatly she placed it in the box along with her reception dress and heels to follow. She packed up their wedding photos, along with their honeymoon photos feeling her emotions start to get the best of her.

Hearing a few knocks at her front door, she slowly stood up and walked out of her room and towards the front door. Looking through the peep hole she smiled when she saw it was Alisha and quickly opened the door for her.

"Hey boo, come in. I'm almost finished packing up everything." She stated as she moved out of the way.

"You feeling okay?" Lisha questioned as she followed her into her bedroom.

Cali shrugged while she retook her seat back on the floor. "It's tough but I'm getting through it. Just looking at the pictures of us on our wedding day and my dress, it just really makes me regret all that I did and hate myself more."

Alisha felt bad for her friend and wished things could have really went differently for her and Ahmad. "Don't beat yourself up too bad over this. Maybe you and Ahmad just weren't meant to be, or maybe this just wasn't you guys time. This time apart is needed because you two can actually just focus on yourselves and work on the faults y'all have."

Cali nodded, "You're right, but it still gets hard ya know? I miss him, and it hurts seeing him be happy with someone else but I can't blame or be mad at him or anybody else."

"Have you seen what his new girl looks like yet?"

"Nope, she hasn't been around the kids yet and he told me once he figured out what it really was between them and would start having her around the kids that is when I would meet her." Cali explained and Alisha nodded.

"I'm curious to know who she is though, Shaun said he's seen her once at the shop and said she was pretty. But he kept saying how she looked familiar but couldn't figure out where he saw her before. So I asked for her name and his dumb ass forgot it."
