Akshay:
I decided not to shout at Netra anytime whatever she does because I know well about her past. I should always keep her happy. If I love her, I should understand her.
What if she meets Jeevith? Of course, she meets many people everyday being an entrepreneur. Why should I feel insecure when I know that my wife loves only me? This possessiveness and insecurity makes me hurt my Netra. I decided to leave them for her.
I have unlocked my phone to see the wallpaper which is the photo of Netra and kids. They are very happy in the photo. I want this happiness to stay forever. I called Netra.
"Netra, what are you doing?" I asked her.
"I have an important meeting, Akshay. Shall I call you after the meeting, if you don't mind?" Netra said.
"Absolutely okay, baby," I said and disconnected the call.
My PA came to my room.
"Sir, today we have a visit to the Lokmanya Hospital. I have arranged everything," my PA said.
"Ok, let's start," I said.
I went to the hospital and talked to the patients who were affected due to the effluents released from a factory in their village. I asked the doctor about their health condition and assured them the free treatment and compensation paid by the owner of that factory.
"Prepare the papers immediately to cancel the permission of the factory," I ordered my PA.
"But sir he is highly influential person," my PA said.
"I don't care. I am the representative of the public and they are the one who chose me to do justice to them. I am not a servant to any entrepreneur or any influential person. Akshay is not a coward too. Cancel the permission immediately.
Arrange a group of doctors who are service oriented and immediately send them to that village. Ask them to check the health of every individual in the village. I need the report of their health within ten days. If they are affected, we should provide the treatment immediately before it's too late," I ordered.
"But sir what if the government didn't accept," my PA asked me.
"I know how to make them approve the orders given by me. Don't worry," I said.
I am about to come out of the hospital but stopped seeing Netra in the hospital.
What happened to Netra? Is she unwell? Is she hiding it from me as I would get worried about her? I asked my PA to wait outside and I followed her. She went to a patient's room. I saw her through the glass door. Netra is feeding juice to Jeevith.
I couldn't believe this. She said she has a meeting but she is with Jeevith. Why is she lying to me again and again? If she wants to help Jeevith, she can arrange a nurse for Jeevith to take care of him. I saw her wiping his face, hands and legs with a wet towel. Is she a servant to him to do all those works? Disgusting!
I called Netra.
"Hi, Akshay," Netra said.
"What are you doing, sweetheart. I miss you," I said.
"Akshay, I told you already. I am in a meeting."
"Is the meeting that important than me?" I asked.
"Come on, Akshay. Don't sound like a teenager who is love sick," Netra said.
"I am really sick in your love," I said.
"Akshay, I will try to come home soon," Netra said.
"Ok, I have a lot to talk to you, Mrs Netra Akshay," I said.
"Ok my dear husband," Netra said.
I disconnected the call with irritation.
I got angry with Netra. Definitely Netra will see another side in me today. I took her photo from the glass door and went to my home.
At night, Netra returned home very late around 1 a.m. Abhaya and Kalki slept by that time. I waited for her in the hall. Netra came and tried to go to the room directly without glancing at me.
"Wait," I said and Netra stopped.
"Where were you until now, Netra ji? Do you know what's the time now?" I asked her.
"Akshay, what happened to you? What is this question?" Netra said.
"It's just a very normal and formal question, sweetheart," I said.
"But you have never asked this question to me anytime in these six months after the marriage. I came at this time many times," Netra said.
"True. I would have taught you how a wife should be as soon as we got married but I forgot that. No worries. I will teach you now in my way, Mrs Netra Akshay," I said, pulling her closer to me. Netra turned her face another side.
"Are you drunk? Why did you start it again?" Netra asked me.
"If you do whatever you want, I too can do whatever I want," I said.
"Something happened to you today. You are turning into the past idiotic Akshay again whom I rejected. I thought you have changed but never," Netra said, remembering me my past.
"Netra," I shouted at her.
She know everything about me and my dark past. She know why I was rude those days. How could she blame me after knowing everything?
"Don't shout. Did I say anything wrong, Akshay? I know well about you, your family and especially about your mother," Netra said stressing the words your mother.
I left her.
"Go to room and sleep before I lose my patience. You already know what can I do if anyone provokes me. I don't want to be rude to you," I said.
Netra went to the room. I remembered my childhood and my mother. How could Netra talk about my mom when she is also a woman and saw hell in her life? Can't she understand? I took another wine bottle and drank it in one go remembering my past.
Hearing someone waking up, I opened my eyes. I was on a sofa. I think I slept the whole night on the sofa. Abhaya woke me up. Why didn't Netra wake me up?
"Dad, why did you sleep here?" Abhaya asked me.
"Abhaya, come here. You are getting late to the school. Have food and go to the school," Netra scolded Abhaya and took her away from my hands.
I looked at her shockingly.
"I don't want my kids to get affected by a alcoholic. Stay away from them," Netra said, hurting me.
Drinking is my mistake but I did it because of her behaviour. How could she ask me to stay away from my kids? Instead of saying our kids, she said my kids. If they are her kids, then who am I to them?
