Jeremiah 5:3 and 9
"Oh Lord, are not Your eyes on the truth? You have stricken them, but they have not grieved; You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to return."
"'Shall I not punish them for these things?' Says the Lord. 'And shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?'"
(Our nation is quickly becoming like the nation Jeremiah and the Lord are speaking of. It has adopted the ways of the world, and is embracing false gods and wrong practices. The Lord will exact justice if we don't turn away from such things.)
