"But, hey... for what it's worth. I like the new suit. It looks really good on you."

Christian Rogers found himself outside of the training room. He didn't go inside, but instead, he stayed out to watch. Wanda and his sister Amaya were inside, and Wanda was helping her with her powers of manipulating objects. Christian thought it was cool to watch them both at work, and he thought it was awesome that they had the same power and could always learn from each other, but he was mainly in awe of Wanda.

He's always thought she was gorgeous from the first moment he saw her, and he knew under normal circumstances, if his parents didn't have those serum's in their bloodstream, he would only be 18 months [year and a half] old. But he didn't feel that way. He felt like a regular 19-year-old teenager, with the same thoughts, feelings, emotions, hormones.

"Hey kid, you going in?" Christian heard behind him. He turned around to see Natasha approaching him, and he shook his head.

"No, I was just watching. I think it's cool just to watch them work." Christian said. Wanda was teaching Amaya how to use her power to fly herself through the air.

"How about you and I go a couple of rounds?" Natasha asked, and Christian's eyes lit up. As much as he loves going against his Dad, his other favorite person to spar with is Natasha because of how highly skilled she is, and he always picks up a trick or two from her.

"That would be awesome," Christian said, nodding his head. Of course, the Avengers facility had multiple rooms to train in, and before walking off with Natasha, Christian snuck in one more glance, but this time Wanda caught his eye and gave him a smile, which he gladly returned.

Then he followed behind Natasha.

Christian Rogers held his hand out as Natasha Romanoff took it, and he helped her off the ground. The two of them had been training together for about an hour, and Natasha told him to make sure he used his powers to his advantage. Even though she teased Amaya that it was cheating, they have their powers to defend themselves, and that's what they should use them for.

"Nice hit," Natasha said, and Christian smiled, and then he took a deep breath. "What's wrong?" Natasha asked, and he shook his head.

"Nothing, I'm good... Let's go again." He said. Natasha nodded her head as they both squared off against each other. Christian threw the first punch, which Natasha dodged, before pulling his arm and trapping it with hers. Using a move that he's seen his mom do, Christian used their locked arms to flip Natasha over and onto the ground, unlocking their arms from each other.

Natasha swung her baton up from the ground, but Christian caught it before pulling her forward and off the ground, only to headbutt her back, but not hard. When Natasha recovered, she came forward about to deliver a blow to Christian, but he disappeared and ducked out of the way before teleporting himself behind her and knocking her down before reappearing. Christian looked out of the training room and saw Wanda and Amaya watching them, and when he caught Wanda's eye, he was immediately distracted.

She gave Christian a small smile, which he returned, and when Natasha saw that he was distracted, she knocked him down, making Amaya laugh. Wanda giggled a little but tried not to show it, and Christian looked back at Natasha as she helped him off the ground.

"You got distracted there; what's the number one rule?" Natasha asked, and Christian sighed.

"Don't get distracted." He said, and Natasha laughed before noticing that it was Wanda who distracted him, and she laughed a little before gesturing for Wanda and Amaya to come inside.

"Chris... wanna go a couple of rounds?" Wanda asked, raising an eyebrow, and Chris nodded his head.

"I got some new moves you've never seen before." He said, and Wanda laughed while Natasha and Amaya just exchanged a look with each other.

"Are they...?" Natasha whispered to Amaya. She was going to think it in her head but then realized that Christian would hear her too if she did that.

"Honestly. . I'm not sure yet, but I think they will eventually," Amaya said, and Natasha nodded her head as Wanda and Christian squared off against each other. Christian dodged a punch that Wanda was going to deliver before teleporting himself right behind her without disappearing. When Wanda quickly whipped around, Christian disappeared before teleporting to the other side of the room and reappearing.

"You missed." He teased, and Wanda rolled her eyes before Christian saw the glowing red energy around her hands, knowing that she would shoot a blast off towards him. He remembered what he did earlier with Tony and concentrated before wrapping a forcefield around himself right as Wanda shot her energy out at him. She had never seen him make a forcefield before, so she was shocked.

"Whoa." She said.

"I know, right," Christian said, as Wanda dropped her energy, Christian channeled his and brought the forcefield down before shooting it forward at Wanda. She caught on quickly and blasted her energy out to meet his in the middle. Amaya and Natasha watched as their energies danced together in the center of the room, and they both dropped their powers and smiled at each other.

"Chris, how long have you been able to make a forcefield?" Wanda asked.

"For a few days, but I've been practicing. Pretty sweet, huh?" He said, and Wanda nodded her head while smiling.

"Yeah, that was actually so cool. I wish I could do it." She said, and Christian winked.

"Don't worry; this just means I have the more means to protect you." He said, and Wanda started blushing. Amaya tapped Natasha, and they both nodded their heads before leaving the room and leaving the two of them alone.

"Protect me? You don't think I can protect myself?" She asked, and Christian shook his head.

"No, that's not what I... of course you can...-I was just...-" She cut him off while laughing.

"...-Chris, I'm messing with you. We're a team. We protect each other." Wanda said, smiling at him. Christian nodded his head.

"Right." He said. He knew Wanda meant 'team' as in them as Avengers, and not them as just the two of them being a team, which he was hoping would change one day, but he wasn't sure if it would.

"But, hey... for what it's worth. I like the new suit. It looks really good on you." She said, and despite his efforts, Christian's cheeks started to flush as he looked down at his suit.

"Thank you. Everything looks good on you...-I mean, uh...-" Christian fumbled over his words, much like his father used to do when he first met Katherine, and Wanda laughed a little.

"Thanks, Chris." She said, and Christian cleared his throat because he was about to take a risk.

"Hey, Wanda?" He asked.

"Yeah?" She said.

"Do you think maybe one day... you want to go into Brooklyn or Queens and get lunch, maybe hang out?" Christian asked. Wanda's face flushed, realizing that Christian was asking her out on a date. She wanted to say yes, but she didn't know if it would be wrong since he's the Rogers' son. Would Katherine and Steve even allow her to date their son? As Wanda stayed silent, Christian started to get nervous that maybe he had made a mistake, and he began to psych himself out.

"Uh... it's um...-it's okay, never mind." Christian said, and Wanda stepped forward about to call out to stop him, knowing that she waited too long and she felt horrible, but it was too late.

Christian had already left the room.
