SIX MONTHS LATER
2016 Upstate New York

Christian and Wanda made their relationship official.

That night they went to the Staten Island Ferry six months ago. He was successful in his plans to ask her to be his girlfriend. They were happy, really happy. They still trained together all the time but usually got distracted by each other, and not much training happened anymore. They laughed a lot together; Christian was always doing something that made Wanda laugh harder than she's ever laughed before.

They spent a lot of downtime together. Watching TV, eating in the facility. Since Christian was a big homebody like his mom, Wanda always offered to stay in, even though Christian did love taking her out, but he loved that she understood sometimes he just likes to sit at home. When they do that, they'll reach books together, or do a puzzle, or show off their powers.

Christian caught wind of a conversation that his parents were having, saying they spotted Rumlow again. His mom was pissed because of everything that happened last time, and this time she wanted to find him and kill him. Mainly because he waterboarded her son, he heard them talking about how they would be going to Lagos, Nigeria, and this time, Wanda was going to be going with them.

He was with Wanda in her room as she got ready to leave with everyone. "How do you feel?" Christian asked her.

"Nervous. . I don't want to mess this up. Not like we did with..." Wanda trailed off, and Christian nodded his head, understanding what she was trying to say.

"You're going to be fine. You've had more training; you have more control; you're ready, baby. I believe in you. You just have to believe in yourself." Christian said.

"You must get your annoyingly good sense of pep talks from your father," Wanda said, which made Christian laugh. He wrapped his arms around Wanda and pulled her into his chest before kissing her forehead.

"These last six months have been the absolute best of my life. Just wanted to let you know that." Christian said, which made the girl smile, and she also blushed a little.

"Well, I can say the same. It was nice to be already pre-approved by your parents. Now I don't have to go through the anxiety attack of meeting the family." Wanda said, which made Christian laugh.

"True. My parents and Maya really love you. I'm just sorry that I won't be able to meet your family. I'm sure they were great." Christian said, and Amaya smiled.

"They were... and I think you and Pietro would've gotten along really well," Wanda said, which made Christian smile. Knowing how important and how connected twins are because of his connection and closeness with Amaya. Behind the sadness of Wanda's eyes, he could see that she and Pietro were very close, just like he and Amaya are.

"I don't doubt that. We could've annoyed you together." Christian said, which made Wanda roll her eyes, but she smiled at him anyway.

"I know that's exactly what you two would've done. Now, it's me and Amaya who get to do it." Wanda said, and Christian chuckled before pulling her into his arms and kissing her forehead.

"You're gonna kick ass Wanda Maximoff," Christian said to her, and Wanda leaned up to kiss him.

"I only wish you were there kicking ass with me."
